EXCITING project …. This Cotswold Cottage is in a prime location and hasn’t been touched since the 1950’s. Follow our updates, the challenges, surprises and rewards….we’ll be going back to the bare bones and by the time we finish, this will be a new house…retaining all the character we can……to be continued.

Even with this very rainy winter, we’ve managed to get some work done! Lovely to see this project taking shape, you can’t beat a beautiful Cotswold stone wall. Every stone has been hand shaped.

Patios, Important to get all your groundwork’s and services right! So often patios are build with poor drainage and nothing is more annoying than rain running back to the house!

Great textures and colours, old and new blending well with the new extension, great to see how a lovely farm house can benefit from a modern extension space.

Clients will really love summer nights on their patio, in the south facing sun trap.

Documenting my current project, great to see the progress of being given a blank canvas....hard landscaping the grounds, starting with services and drainage, love getting on a digger, now moving onto the show work, laying beautiful York stone & York Cobbles, 1/3 of a way through.....will post updates, as some exciting features to come with building a Rill.....to soft landscaping & completion........

My love of working with stone started with dry stone walling and has moved on to so many interesting projects....but I always go back to walling....it's very therapeutic....out in the countryside, it's me, my stone hammer, some string a shovel and a bit of stone......
