Phew, wot a scorcher. I hope you're all well and both enjoying the sunshine whilst,at the same time, enduring it. This is a totally different post to normal but,as its in a good cause,it doesn't really matter. When I'm not sifting through clutter and, hopefully, making people's lives a little easier, I rather enjoy playing classic, heavy rock n roll in two local institutions, those being The Jack and Metal Fatigue. We're combining forces this Saturday (30th) for a fundraiser for the amazing Livewire youth project in Saltash at the very same venue. It's a place close to our hearts along with the wonderful Andy Rance and all the brilliant volunteers who put so much in to give young people a truly memorable environment for creativity, expression and plain old fun. So, if you want to see a bunch of geezers with a collective age roughly equal to Stonehenge, playing rock music from about that same area, come on down to Livewire and help us support this wonderful project. Doors from 6.30 onwards, hopefully see you at the front. Please share this with whomever you can and let's have a memorable Saturday night

Were gonna need a bigger van. En route to a job in St Cleer and passed this megalithic wonder. Although we love ancient treasure here at Tamar valley house clearance I think this particular artefact may be overstepping the mark. If,however, you have a "barrow " load of old stuff and clutter you need removing then give us a shout, you'd be off yer quoit not too

OK, I'll get back to advertising my actual business soon but, as I'm paid to take rubbish away sometimes, it's only fair that I'm involved in bringing to attention this ongoing plague of litter in our countryside. I found this delightful bundle of artery cloggers in the lanes near Amy Tree last night. Nothing unusual there I hear you collectively sigh. Well yes but, this time, the intellectual involved left their parking receipt in the little pile of turd they'd left for someone else to deal with. I'm assuming this was purchased in Launceston and the vehicle involved is a white Citroën. The number plate is easy to see on the ticket so I'll leave this out there and see if anything happens. Hopefully the guilty party is held to account. Have to say I'm no fan of this modern, phenomena of social media driven hunting but this litter problem is getting out of hand to say the least. So,the sermon endeth here and we'll keep removing litter wherever possible as I rather like this place. Oh yes, we also do too.......

Yes,it's Monday, it's raining and the last thing you all need is another moaning bu**er online as you start the week but here we go anyway. Here's yet another example of the absolute contempt that certain people have for our village, environment and everyone in it. Notice the ongoing theme of the total "meal" stuffed into one bag with the obligatory energy drink. I'm assuming this is someone who lives in St Dominick as this pattern is now a regular occurrence. If you have such contempt for the beautiful place you're lucky enough to inhabit then do us all a favour and simply leave, you won't be missed. I'm not taking any moral high ground here but this is intolerable and needs to be reported. It's quite simple really, grow up, don't be a lazy b and take your sh home with you. Why should everyone else have to put up with your considerable shortcomings. Right, enough said, have a good week everyone (who deserves it) and Tamar valley house clearance is now going to go and move rubbish that is somewhat more legitimate

Just a quick message to say ongoing thanks to Dave and.DG motors in Callington for going beyond the call of duty last night to come out and diagnose/fix an unexpected electrical fault in my van. The epitome of a good local business that's there when you need them which is why I keep recommending them to others in the antiques/clearance trade. Thanks again you lot, hugely appreciated and Dave, you should be wearing a cape although I suggest keeping the work gear on for now! Legends!!

A quick trip back to last spring when we had the absolute joy of clearing the beautiful rectory in St Germans. Despite a tight, last minute deadline we came in on time bouyed on by beautiful weather and the proximity of the ever wonderful Eliot Arms which provided a couple of hours relief on a very long Sunday. So, despite our usual, very grimy surroundings,we do sometimes land in beautiful places like this. Not a bad office for a few days. So, we're looking for clearances beit a shed all the way up to this magnificent pile. As ever, just like with this job, we'll use our and experience to dramatically reduce the bill if the goods are there. Have a great weekend everyone, looking forward to transforming your spaces and contents into something wonderful!!

I suppose someone who lives off of junk like this have allowed their feeble, undernourished brain to allow them to dump sh in our local beauty spots. Infantile, unaccountable nonsense that even a child would realise is totally unacceptable. Grow up and take your crap with you. I'm now going to clear this as I'm sure the perpetrator is too feeble for such a colossal task. Pathetic

Well, another bank holiday comes to an end and I hope you've all enjoyed it to the absolute hilt. The other day, whilst being interviewed by the Financial Times lifestyle supplement, I was asked "what do you actually do?" On the evidence of the last fortnight and these varied pictures I struggled to give inquisitive lady reporter a definitive answer. I'm jesting of course but recently we've just about done it all under the umbrella of owning a large van. Farm outbuilding , transport and set up for the decorative antiques fair, woodland clearance and maintenance and rounded off today with another tick in the box courtesy of the brilliant Rundles metals who've put the containers out for local charity. Bravo, and yet another excellent collaboration for the common good. We have availability in between current, ongoing jobs so don't hesitate to ask for assistance no matter how big or small it may seem. Right, the working week is beckoning after a much needed rest so ta ta and goodnight. Beauty sleep most definitely needed

Good morning folks and a quick hello as it's been a while due to a , thankfully, hefty workload. Finally a quieter week after a varied slew of jobs in locations from storage units, very packed garages (as you can see) and just about everything in between. In addition to our usual stuff we've got a few items up for grabs starting with what's pictured here. Firstly is a nice, very comfortable cuddle chair. There's a couple of small marks but nothing that won't come out with a dab of vanish. The good news is that it's totally free and we'll deliver it for next to nothing if you're nearby. Also pictured is a lovely,Biggles style, leather flying jacket in lovely condition. Made by Zara we're asking a mere £20 for this lovely garment. Absolutely perfect if you've got a world war one bi-plane. Anyway, that's enough for now. We're back in the hunt for new leads after a few days sorting the stores and servicing the van so give us a shout if you require anything from a single piece move to a large, estate clearance. No obligation quotes and viewings always available. Right,it's raining which means it's inevitably an outdoor job this afternoon removing a greenhouse and sheds. Oh joy!!...........

Our rural, rubbish retreat near Duloe finally finished on Friday (I'm not meaning to alliterate, honest) and from those very rustic surroundings we found ourselves in the flipside today starting another crusade against clutter in very different surroundings in a unit in . A great start today with a good selection of goodies emerging all ready to be sold and set against the costs of the job in hand. So, just a quick one to demonstrate our willingness to clear just about anything from any environment that gets thrown at us. Many thanks for the recommendation that landed us the newest job (cheers Ali,cheques in the post) and, despite the busy schedule, we're eagerly seeking new challenges as the spring season kicks in. Give us a call at Tamar valley house clearance if you need a property cleared where our knowledge and contacts will give you the fairest possible deal for a job well done. Have a good week one and all, the weekend will be here before we know it...........
