TRIGGER WARNING BODY/HALF OF CO**SE ⚠️

In 1991, two hikers in the Alps found a body emerging from the ice. They assumed it was a lost mountaineer. So did the authorities, who tried to free it with ice axes.

But then an archaeologist examined the axe found beside him. Its blade was copper.

The 'climber' had died 5,300 years ago. Before the Great Pyramid. Before Stonehenge.

He had 61 tattoos, the remains of ibex, red deer and einkorn wheat in his stomach, and a flint arrowhead buried deep in his left shoulder.

Someone had shot him from behind, high in the Alps. And the ice preserved the evidence for more than five millennia.

We now know an extraordinary amount about Γ–tzi. But we still cannot answer who wanted him dead?

In 1705, an Irish housewife named Margorie McCall died of a fever. She was hastily buried to prevent the spread of whatever illness she had. She was buried with a valuable ring that couldn't be removed due to swelling.

The evening she was buried, grave robbers showed up to take the ring. When they tried to cut the finger off, Margorie suddenly woke up and screamed. The grave robbers were frightened out of their wits and scattered. Margorie climbed out of the hole and made her way home.

When her husband John opened the door, he found his recently deceased wife standing there, still in her burial clothes witg blood dripping from her hands. The unfortunate husband dropped dead on the spot, and was buried in the grave recently occupied by Margorie.

Margorie went on to re marry and have more children. When she finally died (for real this time), she was returned to Shankill Cemetery in Lurgan, Northern Ireland, where her gravestone bears the inscription β€œLived Once, Buried Twice.”

On February 24, 1954, the Soviet surgeon Vladimir Demikhov performed in Moscow the first head transplant in dogs, surgically attaching the head of the female dog Shavka to the body of Brodyaga, sedated dogs whose blood vessels and trachea were connected for three and a half hours. After the surgery, both heads could see, hear and swallow, although the liquid that Shavka ingested escaped through an external tube. The two‑headed animal only lived four days because of a damaged vein. Between 1954 and 1959 he repeated the procedure 23 times with results of up to 29 days, but authorities and scientists criticized him and ordered him to stop, even though his research laid the foundations for heart and lung transplants. Demikhov was accused of being a charlatan, but he was eventually named the father of cardiopulmonary transplantation, according to the surgeon Christiaan Barnard, after visiting his laboratory
