The Funny Farm - West Wales Holidays for all the family including the pet dog(s), close to fabulous beaches, walks, fun for all the family.

Based in Ceredigion SA44 5NR this is a non-working small-holding with many rescue animals. We have a 3 bed static sleeps 4 and a 2 bed Barn Conversion Cottage sleeps 4 and The Folly Cottsge sleeps 3. All holiday lets are fully enclosed each with private hot tub. We are within walking distance to Village Pub serving great meals, the Village Shop and we are a short drive to nearby beaches, coastal walks and the Towns of Cardigan and Carmarthen

You know when Denise Maisey and Nick have been to stay - a grand clear up - us women drink coffee and chat whilst the men do their thing outside - sadly several dead and dangerous trees have had to come down this year and oh what a mess to clear up - nothing goes to waste, donkeys and goats enjoy the branches and the wood chopped up for the log burners

How very very kind of Pete and Tracy and little Tia who were back again for their 2 week stay this year, every animal and human were left with treats, Christmas has come early - we are also grateful to Pete's help with ditches this year, both for taking me out for fish & chips and ice cream and Tia for her cuddles although I think her best friends are the sheep

Bella returned with her new forever friend Woody last Friday for another holiday in the Barn Cottage, both previously off the racing track and now have a pampered life with their lovely owners - very lucky greygrounds who have bonded quickly, only been together a few weeks, they even do their number 2's at the same time lol

Tia Maria and her lovely owners Pete & Tracy took me out to New Quay yesterday for fish & chips, the sun was out and we sat overlooking the sea and were lucky to watch a seal swimming close to us and several dolphins who were further out near the boats - we could not leave without having ice cream - as always lovely to have Tia and her owners for their usual 2 week September stay, beginning of ditch clearing and Pete did as usual a fabulous job - and was extra lovely to go out yesterday, thank you

The lake has been tided and cleared, the Dragon has been jet washed and you will now be able to see the ducks and goose from the car parking area - ducks and goose like brown bread (no white bread) should you wish to feed them. The Dragon was so much fun when we had the children's play area, alas due to British Standard regulations the Dragon failed to comply after many years of being a swing/slide so he was moved into the lake and we scrapped the children's play area due to all the Health & Safety regulations

Little Dottie looked just like our little boy although he had longer legs, same markings and was keen to keep her as so miss not having our boy but alas her mum and dad love her too much to leave without her today having stayed in the Barn Cottage this last week also with George who is the son of Brooke, naughty George was in my pocket for treats, not daft and would make a fabulous sniffer dog lol - a lovely trio of dogs and fabulously lovely owners Dave & Sue - has been so lovely having them all stay here (and thank you for the fab photo)

Only 2 weeks left available in the Barn Cottage Ceredigion, SA44 5NT before it is taken off from holiday lets:-

2nd October - 9th October
23rd October - 30th October

Barn Cottage has a double bed, twin beds, access to fully enclosed 1.5 meter solid fenced dog paddock.

Price pw is £575 with use of private hot tub or £525 pw without hot tub. No limit on number of dogs or breed of dogs, all are very much welcome

This is the last year the Barn Cottage will be available for holiday lets, we thank all those who over the years have supported us having holidays here and delighted many have transferred to the Folly Cottage next year and into 2028
