What does needle felting look like with a group of children from 6-12 years old! This is what it looks like. Creativity, individuality and skill development. Honestly. They blow me away each time. New project and block of learning for these children and I can’t wait to see where this takes us over the coming weeks. Apart from one bloody finger and a few broken needles they totally cracked this introduction to felt. 💕🤍

Sketchbook tonight will be a time to rest. We will be spending some time unwinding after lots of the group will have completed SAT’s today and I don’t know about you but my Lilah is tired and she’s emotional.

We might play some art games and have some nice snacks, stick some nice music on and relax abit. We might create but we might not and that’s ok. I’ll let them choose. I’ll let them be and we will spend our time just talking to each other. 🌿

Welcoming our sketchbook club back with some pencil drills, some head proportion recaps and a discussion and exploration around anime art and manga. Hoping to develop some comic style Japanese artwork with inks and super vibrant colours. The chilled focus tonight was a very lovely vibe 💓

After probably the biggest project so far with our sketchbookers have been exploring and sculpting in papier-mâché they have all worked so hard and tonight we had finally completed some of our work. See you all after half term 🥰🌿

Welcoming back our sketchbooks tonight and what a happy and chatty bunch of children. We began our paper base sculptures tonight using paper and tape to sculpt ready for the next stage next week: The children are really loving these mini projects and it’s giving them time to explore and create which is something we often don’t give our children enough of. It was also amazing hearing all the cool art equipment they received from Santa! 🥰💕
