I was born in to the armed forces, which meant I had to move around a lot. I think from a young age I was one of a nomadic mindset which lead me to have a total of 26 addresses! I always remember my mum crying " I just want to have a nice house" when we moved to the next address which she then scrubbed and cleaned and made "pretty". I was always of the notion that the house in which you called home, no matter how grotty, could be made into a pleasant and comfortable environment.... made pretty! I moved out of home aged 16 and over the years I have been transforming really grotty places (the grottier the better!!) into liveable spaces and welcoming, inviting environments for anyone wishing to visit with the kettle always on !! I have worked alongside estate agents and developers to which lead me to my current vocation. After staging a show home and seeing the huge expense this incurred to the developer. Someone needs to choose and order everything take delivery, discard of all the packaging, place all coordinating items and then the removal... and where would it go? I saw this as an opportunity to create Furnish Home Staging. All these things take imagination, time, effort and a lot of money. Furnish Home Staging was born!
