We at Primrose would like to invite you to share with us our exciting concept for the land at Brandwood Fold. We started the journey some 18 months ago, though our links to the land and area go back over 45 years.
Most of you will remember a planning application for four houses
at Brandwood Fold and the objection’s that were raised. We listened to these objections and have digested their content.
• The objections related to the frustrations and the issues with
traffic and safety in and around the Village.
• We listened to Withnell Fold Sports & Social Club wish list
for the future expansion of the Club for the benefit of most
if not all the community.
• We understood Withnell Fold Primary School lacked its own
parking provision and the ability to arrive there without the
inconvenience to others. The School has a lack of sports
facilities and requires coaches to take pupils to other venues.
• Chorley Borough council through their Central Lancashire
local Plan Preferred Option Consultation have made it
known that they are looking to release 25 hectares of Greenbelt Land to satisfy the requirement for Employment.
• The remaining Mill buildings in Withnell Fold are no longer
fit for purpose.
We would like to present and discuss our Scheme with you on
Friday 17th March 2pm – 8pm at Withnell Fold Sports & Social Club.

and feedback form, to enable people to comment and share with
us their thoughts. Food and drinks will be served for those
attending.
