Here at Forest Lime we cater for all things lime. Including traditional 3 coat lime plaster work, using non hydraulic lime putty or hot mixed using quicklime . We also do insulating h**p plaster work .

Some internal non hydraulic lime work completed earlier this year . This room was suffering terribly with damp due to a cement slurry and masonry paint on the stone work. We stripped it back re pointed the walls and also carried out some traditional 3 coat plaster work. Using a non hydraulic lime will allow the walls to breath , managing the moisture build up without further damage .

Some traditional lime pointing carried out recently in Gorsely. The front elevation of this beautiful property dating back to the early 1800’s was re pointed using traditional methods and a non hydraulic lime mortar closely matched to the original to sit nicely with the local Gorsley stone.

H**p plaster work.
For this job i used insulating h**p plaster . My client wanted to increase the thermal values of this room. Two coat lime plaster applied on to shneider thermaboard, wood fibre insualtion boards to allow permeability .
Traditional lime plastering on a solid walled/stone built property can greatly improve issues with unwanted moisture trapped within the walls. H**p fibres mixed in with the lime also increase’s the thermal value of the mix creating an insulating lime plaster .
