I don't know about you but I'm trying to hold off of whacking the heating on right now.
Until now I've never hesitated in firing up the boiler - I don't work my arse off to shiver in my own house.
Now, I'm layering up while working extra hours just to cover the cost of my beans on toast.
Is it me or did things turn south very quickly.
One minute I'm sitting pretty after a whole year of spending nada during lock-down...
..the next I'm digging for shrapnel down the crevasses of my sofa.
At least it's given me a boot up the bum to list that old laptop on Ebay - something I'd been meaning to do for so long I stopped putting it on my to-do list...
..it was only reminding me of how bloody lazy I am anyway.
Of course I added it back on just so I could have the pleasure ticking it off... damn, I love ticking things off!
As much as I jest, there are some that are really struggling right now.
For example those that are looking to remortgage.
With lenders tightening their purse strings and interest rates creeping up with no sign of halting, repossessions are inevitable for many.
It's a sad reality that can be devastating - sending spiralling out of control both financially and mentally.
But there may be hope...
If you're facing repossession, or know someone that is, Repossession Rescue - who I'm an official supporter of - is here to help.
