The Cornwall Golf Union was founded in 1901 and exists to promote and retain the traditions and rules of the ancient amateur game of Golf within the Duchy. The Primary aim of the Cornwall Golf is to promote the welfare and interest of all the amateur golfers of affiliated clubs in the County of Cornwall and to organise such activities as may be considered desirable by the Executive Committee for t

he benefit of affiliated clubs and their members. We currently have 30 affiliated member clubs, and details of all of these can be found on the website. In turn the County body is affiliated to England Golf which administers the interests of amateur golfers across the country.

Well done to Harry Jolliff who represented Bodmin College and Cornwall Schools today in the South West U19 Scratch golf event at Came Down golf club, Dorset. Harry finished a very respectable 4th out of the top 54 golfers in the South West and has now qualified for the National U19 finals at Kendlestone Park Golf club, Derbyshire on the 22nd June. The top players from this event are then selected for England schools and international competition. Well done Harry and good luck in Derby!

The wait is over!...The last time the U/14's/U/16s Cornwall Golf team won the South-West Championships was 14 years ago. Our very own Harry Hall was in the team that year.

We made the decision with our county managers and coaches to go for an unusual 5/4 split in favour of the U/14's. How that paid off today.

The best result of the day also went to Cornwall with our very own Alfie Chapman fro St Enodoc GC wining the gross with a 2 under par 68 around a tricky Bude & North Cornwall course.

Cornwall Golf are so proud of the players, managers and our county coaches Richard Sadler and Nick Brewaeys.

What a fantastic day at Mawgan Porth Golf Club for the England Golf Junior Champion Club Qualifier.

Done fantastic scores and only 2 points separated the top 3 places.

Congratulations to Trevose Golf Club on winning the event with a -7 total of 79 points and qualifying to represent Cornwall Golf at Woodhall Spa Golf Club in August.

In second place, 1 point behind on 78 points (-6 total) were Truro Golf Club with a great 42 points from Jack Hick.

In third place was the team from St Austell Golf Club Junior Section with 77 points and 5 under team total.

Congratulations to Ethan for winning the boys net section of the West of England U14 Championships held at Mendip Golf Club. A 36 hole comp played over two extremely hot days saw Ethan shoot 9 over gross which also saw him finish 5th overall out of 48 players
