Autumn leaves look lovely on the trees. Not quite so lovely when they're clogging up your gutters.

As we head through autumn and into winter, keeping gutters clear is one of those jobs that's easy to forget about, but worth keeping on top of.

Leaves and debris can build up and stop rainwater draining away properly. And with plenty of wet weather ahead, blocked gutters can mean overflowing water and potentially bigger problems around your property.

So, if you can't remember the last time yours were cleared, it might be time to have them checked.

Sorry, but we’re going to say the C word…

Christmas. 🎄

We know it’s only September, but our diary is already looking pretty busy in the run up to Christmas.

If you’re hosting family and friends this year and you’ve got a room that needs decorating, some carpentry that’s been on the list forever, or those little jobs around the house you’ve been meaning to sort, now’s the time to get booked in.

Because there’s nothing like inviting everyone round for Christmas dinner to suddenly make you notice EVERYTHING that needs doing!

If you want your home looking smart before the guests descend, give us a shout sooner rather than later.

We’re taking bookings now, but spaces before Christmas are already limited.

Making a sloping garden a lot more usable.

This garden had quite a slope on it, which meant a good chunk of the space wasn’t particularly practical.

We levelled things out and created two separate tiers, giving the owners much more usable space and a garden that looks a whole lot smarter too.

It’s made such a difference to what they can actually do with the garden now.

Got a garden with an awkward slope or an area you’re not really using? Give us a shout. There’s usually a way to make it work better.

A few changes can completely transform a garden.

When we first arrived, the space had plenty of potential but needed a bit of attention.

We freshened up the planters, relaid the lawn, added feature lighting and installed contemporary timber screening to create a much warmer, more inviting space.

Now it's somewhere the homeowners can enjoy from morning coffee right through to relaxing summer evenings.

If you've been looking at your garden thinking, "It could do with a bit of a refresh," we'd be happy to help. It doesn't always take a full overhaul to make a big difference.

A great little transformation for this nursery.

What was once just a solid wall is now a set of double doors, creating a much more open and practical space by linking two classrooms together.

It's a simple change, but one that makes a real difference to how the rooms can be used day to day.

Sometimes it's the smaller jobs that make the biggest difference.

We recently fitted a second bannister for a lovely couple who wanted a bit of extra support on the stairs. The aim was to make everyday life that little bit easier, while making sure it looked like it had always been there.

We colour-matched the new bannister to the original on the other side, so unless you knew it was new, you'd never be able to tell.

They were so pleased with the result that they joked they'd have us back when it's time for a stairlift. We reckon that's a good few years away yet!
