At my recent presentation at BNI Compass Croydon there was a short Q&A afterwards about my services;

We discussed the difference between using a high street estate agent and an independent estate agent, such as myself, when selling a property;

✅ 95% of sales are now researched online using the major portals like Rightmove, Zoopla etc. So, you no longer need to be registered with a local high street estate agent to sell (or rent) your property, you just need to ensure your independent estate agent is using those portals to market your property. I am.

✅ Being independent, I'm not part of a large chain and I am fully invested in you and your property. I’m not salaried, so if I don’t sell or rent your property, I don’t get paid.

✅ Yes, my fee is slightly higher than some high street agents — but you get me every step of the way. I know your property inside out, your goals, and exactly what we're aiming to achieve. I personally handle all viewings — no random agents turning up with a set of keys and zero context. We’ve all been on viewings like that, but not if you use me.

Why would you want to work with an agent who didn’t offer all that!

🎉 A truly special day for our family — our daughter’s Greek Orthodox christening 🎉

Last weekend we witnessed Theodora receive her baptism at The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Nectarios, London in , surrounded by family and with her godparents George Charalambous and Lisa Roche by her side.

It was such a lovely day, followed by a family celebration at Greek Restaurant in . Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The food was amazing.

The recent BBC investigation into Connells Estate Agents and Purplebricks, highlighted what I have known for many years now.

Working within the real estate industry for over 20 years, I’ve seen the backroom pressure, the corner-cutting, and the horror stories as clients are passed from one negotiator to another, who don’t know anything about you, your goals or your property. They are just there to make the sale and earn commission.

That’s why I’m an independent real estate agent. So, I can work with my clients on a personal level and get the best deal for them.

I recently presented at BNI Compass Croydon, about my services and why I’m a good fit for selling or renting your property.

Apart from the 20 years of industry experience that I have covering sales, lettings and auctions, I’m also a NRLA registered landlord and Domestic Energy Assessor.

What I think makes me different, from using a high street estate agent, is that I'm independent, which means you get me from beginning to end.

Before I even meet a new client, I research their property and the area, to fully understand what has sold (or rented) both recently and historically. I send this analysis, free of charge, to the client before I even meet them, so they are fully informed.

When we do meet, we look at their goals, work out options that cover all scenarios and come up with a tailored strategy for them. This could involve a variety of tools that I use to gain maximum exposure for my client, this may be via social media, all the major platforms like Right Move etc, leaflet drops, 3D tours and drone footage.
