Sunday isn’t a rest day round here, seems to be a kitchen day. Wall cabinets up this morning, followed by a small job to mount a hose reel, then straight into another kitchen swapping drawers, door fronts and the kick board. Will be revisiting that kitchen to fit a new washing machine when it arrives.

Our 2026 pricing. Please note the £35/£30 rate only applies to small jobs i.e jobs that can be completed within a couple of hours. For larger or more labour intensive jobs these would need to be quoted for.

Quick job in the heat today (thankfully not as hot as it has been!). Relayed the slabs for the step and pointed everything up. A few considerations in this warm weather, misting and soaking the step and slabs several times to stop the moisture being pulled out of the mortar too quickly.

A few weeks post-holiday, and we’ve been keeping busy! Started off with a couple of quick odd jobs putting up a Ring doorbell and swapping out a toilet seat.

Most of our time lately has been spent getting everything ready for our second DIY course: Home Maintenance. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the setup.

Not a job — just a showcase of resourcefulness. Needed a new fence at home and happened to have a stack of composite decking planks I picked up for free. A couple of bits of hardware from Wickes later, and we’ve now got a solid composite fence. Just needs a pressure wash and a few finishing touches, but I’m rather pleased with the resourcefulness and the money saved compared to buying composite panels.

Last few touches done, changed the ironmongery on the door to black, cleaned off the dust on the slabs and gravel. Pleased with the result.

Fairly big job & first time laying porcelain slabs. A few little bits to finish off but a stunning change.

Few jobs from the last couple of weeks. Hedge trim and replacing the cermaic discs in a tap. Then we ventured on a bit of landscaping, will post the full before and after pictures soon. Our dog Oscar is acting site manager 😄

Easter weekend job and a shoulder work out 😄 digging out around 2.5 bulk bags of dirt to lay a path to the rear gate.
