A closer look at the kitchen in one of the homes at our School Road development in Spooner Row.

Working closely with the homeowners, we helped select a scheme that would sit beautifully with the wider interior of the property, with the colour palette, cabinetry and finishes all chosen to feel considered and cohesive.

The storage was just as important as the overall look, with carefully planned solutions built into the kitchen and the same attention to detail carried through both inside and outside the cabinetry.

It’s a lovely example of how a more traditional country shaker kitchen can be given a contemporary feel, combining classic proportions with richer finishes, glamorous touches and a modern colour palette.

Our Spooner Row development is coming along nicely, and these latest aerial images give a great overview of the site as it stands.

We regularly capture drone footage throughout the build to help our internal teams track progress, as well as to keep our website updated so you can follow the development as it takes shape.

A little throwback to Newmarket Road ~ a bespoke home we completed a few years ago, built within the garden of an existing property.

The project was designed and built to suit the site, with a high level of personalisation throughout.

From the layout and specification to the finishing touches, the homeowners were able to make choices that reflected exactly how they wanted to live.

It’s a great example of how a bespoke build can make the most of an existing plot while creating something completely individual.

A few years on, it’s still a project we’re really proud of.

It seems like summer is starting to come to an end over at Bowsfield, and we’re already missing those long, sunny days on site.

The pending change in season certainly doesn’t mean a change in pace, though.

It’s been great to see Bowsfield take shape over the summer, but work continues to progress across the development, with our teams busy moving the next stages of the build forward.

Chequerboard floor tiles are such a British classic, adding a touch of timeless character to any space.

We love how this homeowner is giving the look a fresh, modern spin, choosing the Porcelanosa marble tile in a rich red-wine tone, paired with a deep coordinating colour across the walls.

A bold combination that, once we've worked our magic, will completely transform the room while still retaining that classic feel.

When you’re working with large, statement marble tiles like these, there’s very little room for error, as every tiny detail makes a difference to the finished result.

From the intricate cuts required for round edges and fittings, to carefully planning the positioning of each tile so the pattern and veining flow naturally across the space, precision is everything.

Even the smallest discrepancy becomes noticeable across a large surface, which is why specialist lighting and levelling techniques are used to ensure every tile sits perfectly in line with the next.

It’s a painstaking process that takes time, experience and an incredible eye for detail, but when you’re working with materials this beautiful, getting it exactly right is what makes the difference.

It’s amazing what a difference plastering makes to a room.

Up until this stage, it can still very much feel like a construction site. You can see the plasterboard, joints, fixings and openings for services, and it can sometimes be difficult to imagine how those spaces will eventually feel.

Then comes the plastering.

Once the plasterboard has been properly prepared and the walls and ceilings skimmed, you suddenly have smooth, continuous surfaces ready for the next stages.

The lines of the rooms become much cleaner, and you really start to appreciate the proportions, natural light and flow of the space.

From a construction perspective, it’s an important finishing trade and one where the quality of the workmanship matters. A good plastered finish provides the foundation for everything that follows; from paintwork and fitted joinery to kitchens, bathrooms and those final interior details.

It’s one of those stages where, almost overnight, a building site starts to feel much more like a home.

Colour drenching, but make it chocolate brown. 🤎

This rich, cocooning shade has been used across the entire room in this home that has already been sold, allowing the new homeowners to personalise the details and make the space their own.

Their vision? A dedicated cinema/media room, and we think this colour creates the perfect atmosphere for it.

There’s still more to come before the space is complete, but we already know the finished result is going to be something special.
