These adorable kittens have been keeping cosy together and are already stealing hearts.

As well as our friendly farm animals and the wildlife that call Craighead home, we’ve now got these little bundles of fluff to brighten our days too.

Just outside Dunblane and not far from Stirling, Craighead Howfs offers unique adult-only glamping escapes and a luxury family holiday cottage in the heart of rural Scotland.

It’s not just the accommodation at Craighead Howfs that feels unique and magical, it’s the whole experience of being here.

Set in the peaceful Perthshire countryside, our smallholding is home to a wonderful mix of animals and wildlife that make every stay feel that little bit more special. Our playful pygmy goats are always favourites with guests, while alpacas quietly graze nearby and Highland cattle roam the fields. You will also spot our Shetland pony, Swiss Valley Blacknose sheep, emus, peafowl, fantails, turkeys and guinea fowl wandering freely through the grounds.

By the tranquil lochan, ducks and geese drift across the water, creating the perfect place to slow down, switch off and simply enjoy the surroundings.

Whether you are staying in one of our handcrafted Howfs or soaking up the atmosphere around the smallholding, Craighead Howfs is about far more than just a place to sleep, it is an experience surrounded by nature, animals and the beauty of the Scottish countryside.

Looking for a stay where nature, wildlife and a touch of magic all come together? 🌳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Wee Tree Howf was our very first creation at Craighead Howfs, and it still feels just as special today. Set above a tumbling burn and beside a peaceful lochan in Perthshire, Scotland, this unique treehouse is all about slowing down and enjoying the moment.

Cross the little bridge, step inside and you will find a cosy, handcrafted space full of character. There is a wood burning stove for cooler evenings, quirky features throughout and even a pulley system in the burn to keep your drinks chilled. As a result, it is not just somewhere to stay, but somewhere to experience.

Outside, nature is always close by. Spend time around the fire pit, listen to the gentle flow of the water and watch wildlife move through the landscape. You might even meet some of our resident animals, from Highland cows to pygmy goats and more. Because of this, every stay feels calm, immersive and wonderfully different.

For an extra touch, the Ofuru wood fired hot tub by the lochan is available as an optional extra, perfect for unwinding under the open sky. Designed as an adult only retreat, the Wee Tree Howf offers a peaceful escape where you can truly switch off.

Here I am on today's update! Our Muckle Howf guests arrive tomorrow, then it's all systems go in the glamping! A bit of sunshine making it all look lovely and our favorite golf buggy working hard! All the Howfs now beginning to look s***k and span. Tomorrow's update will be slightly different as we have super exciting animal news! A spoiler....her name is Princess. Love to hear the guesses of who she is!

Countdown to opening is on. Ian is on a mission to have the grounds and garden looking great...all his own creation. As well as digging in to the cleaning and setting up to be ready for our opening I am pretending to be a social media expert.... wrong side of 60 for that but it is fun showing you so hope you like the snippets.

Just had to share these gorgeous Emu eggs! Hetty and Jerry are not so sure. We are super excited as this is our first egg laying season with the Emus and the eggs are so smart! At the height of laying season we might have Emu eggs, Rhea, Turkey, Peacock, Goose, Duck, Hen, Guinea Fowl and Fantail pigeon ...now a photo of all of those together would be something!
