Hidden in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, just outside Dunblane, Craighead Howfs is more than somewhere to stay. It’s an experience.

🌸 Have we grown the tallest sweet peas in Britain? 😂

We’re not making any official claims just yet… but when Ian needs a ladder to reach the top, we reckon they must be in with a chance!

The sweet peas at Craighead Howfs have gone slightly wild this year, creating towering walls of colour in our gardens here in the Perthshire countryside, Scotland.

And this is all part of life at Craighead. Beyond our unique handcrafted glamping accommodation, there are gardens to wander through, animals to meet, wildlife to spot and plenty of little surprises around the smallholding.

Although, while Ian is up the ladder tending to the sweet peas, one member of the Craighead team appears to have found a considerably less strenuous job… 🐈😂

So, what do you reckon? Britain’s tallest sweet peas? We’d love to see someone beat them!

It’s not just the accommodation at Craighead Howfs that feels unique and magical, it’s the whole experience of being here.

Set in the peaceful Perthshire countryside, our smallholding is home to a wonderful mix of animals and wildlife that make every stay feel that little bit more special. Our playful pygmy goats are always favourites with guests, while alpacas quietly graze nearby and Highland cattle roam the fields. You will also spot our Shetland pony, Swiss Valley Blacknose sheep, emus, peafowl, fantails, turkeys and guinea fowl wandering freely through the grounds.

By the tranquil lochan, ducks and geese drift across the water, creating the perfect place to slow down, switch off and simply enjoy the surroundings.

Whether you are staying in one of our handcrafted Howfs or soaking up the atmosphere around the smallholding, Craighead Howfs is about far more than just a place to sleep, it is an experience surrounded by nature, animals and the beauty of the Scottish countryside.
