If you've got someone re-doing your sealant, ask them to show you photos of the removed sealant before you pay them.

Silicone had failed, moulded and came loose. Water was leaking out of the shower.

Removed the lot, deep cleaned it and installed a beige seal to work better with the tiles.

Tape over the area. You try everything to stop a leak. Fair play, it helped. Fully resealed now though 👍

One for installers or those doing their own DIY.

When we seal a shower screen, we ONLY install sealant to the outside. The screen then acts as a drain for water to flow back into the shower tray. If you seal both sides, water will do what water does and find a way in, get trapped and mould. That mould will very quickly spread.

Check your screens, if there's silicone on the inside, it needs to be removed.
