The home report process can bring up a lot of questions! Whether you’re a first-time buyer or seasoned seller, there’s always something new to learn.
A common question we get asked:

𝐇𝐨𝐰 π₯𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐒π₯π₯ 𝐚 π‡π¨π¦πž π‘πžπ©π¨π«π­ π₯𝐚𝐬𝐭?

There is no expiry date for a Home Report. However if a purchaser requires a Mortgage, the majority of Lenders will require that the Home Report to be no older than 12 weeks.

If the inspection date is over 12 weeks, the majority of Lenders will then require a replacement Home Report survey be carried out. It is also often the case where no lending is required for the purchase that the conveyancing solicitor will insist that the Home Report is not older than 12 weeks at the point of concluding missives.
