In 2022 Michelle Shell George and Kev George took the decision to follow a dream, and open a holiday let property in the beautiful town of Filey.
Since making the bold move, we have LOVED every minute of our involvement there.
It's our 'happy place' - and it seemed perfect to call the business, 'The Bee Happy House'.
Located on Queen Street, the house is just a 5-min walk from the beach, and similar distance to the bars and shops.
We have decorated and furnished the house with care, love and affection, trying to think of holidaymakers every needs.
Since opening in August 2022 we have been amazed by how many families have booked with us at https://www.cottages.com/cottages/the-bee-happy-house-uk40072 - and then left glowing reviews, which we are proud to say have earned us the www.cottages.com Customer Choice Award for 2023.
We think Filey is just gorgeous. It's a beautiful fishing town situated in between Scarborough and Bridlington and has over 5 miles of golden beach. It's a quiet little town, but boasts just enough bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants to offer a good atmosphere and plenty of variety for all.
The Bee Happy House sleeps 7 people - a master (king-size) bedroom, twin bedroom, and a bedroom with a bunk that has a double on the bottom and single above.
The lounge comfortably seats the whole family, and the kitchen diner offers everything you need to either self-cater, or just sit and enjoy one of Filey's many fine takeaways.
The lounge and all bedrooms have LED TV's with satellite Freeview boxes.
The Bee Happy House is dog-friendly (although we do not allow furry friends onto the carpets or upstairs).
There is free on-street parking available right outside the house.
The main bathroom is freshly refurbished and has bath, shower and sink. A toilet upstairs has a separate hand basin, and new for 2023 is an extra, downstairs toilet and hand basin.

We just love the proximity to the beach that this house offers. It also has easy access to the town centre with its shops, restaurants and bars.
