🩵🧡🫟 TWO BEDROOMS, TWO FRESH NEW LOOKS! 🎨 🫟🧡🩵

Another job completed, giving two bedrooms a much-needed refresh!

The first bedroom involved stripping off the old wallpaper, carrying out the necessary repairs and giving the room a fresh new finish. 👌

The second bedroom had its own repairs before adding a lovely feature wall to give the room a bit of extra character.

It's amazing what a little TLC and a fresh finish can do to completely change the feel of a room!

Two bedrooms completed and ready to enjoy! 🙌

🎨 Another Bedroom Transformation Complete! 🩵🧡
Another job wrapped up today, bringing a fresh new look to this bedroom!
With a newly plastered ceiling and a wall repair to tackle, preparation was key to getting the finish just right.
✅ New plaster mist coated as required.
✅ Ceiling finished in AR2 Anti-Reflex for a smooth, flawless finish.
✅ Walls painted in Dulux Apple White.
✅ Feature wall finished in Dulux Fresh Artichoke, adding a lovely splash of colour.
✅ All woodwork prepared and finished in Benjamin Moore Scuff-X for a tough, durable finish.
A fresh, clean finish with a feature wall that really brings the room together! 👌

🩵🧡🫟 DEVON COTTAGE – THE PHOTO DUMP! 🏡🎨 🫟🧡🩵
You've seen the videos, so here's a proper photo dump from what has probably been one of the biggest and most challenging jobs I've taken on!
This cottage had a bit of everything thrown at me — failing and peeling paint from incorrect products being used previously, poor prep, copper nails and pipework bleeding through, staining, damp and mould, and plenty of previous decorating that needed putting right. 😅
Being old lime plaster, getting the products right was important, which is why Zinsser Grade 1 played a big part in this job. 👌
And the cottage itself definitely kept me on my toes… from doorways that made me feel about 7ft tall 😂 to the complete opposite in the library, where even my 3.5 metre roller pole gives you an idea of just how high those ceilings are! 🤣

Weeks of work, a ridiculous amount of preparation, a few long drives, a broken van thrown into the mix 🚐🤦‍♂️… but I absolutely loved working on all the curved walls, window reveals and character this beautiful old cottage has.

🩵🧡🫟 THE DEVON COTTAGE – COMPLETE! 🏡🎨 🫟🧡🩵
After weeks of working away in Devon, this huge project is finally complete — so here's the full walkthrough all in one! 🎥
This beautiful old cottage certainly tested me along the way! There was failing and peeling paint from previous decorating, incorrect products used on the lime plaster, poor preparation, copper nails and pipework causing staining, damp and mould patches, plus plenty of previous mistakes that needed putting right before I could move forward.
The job covered the library, kitchen & utility, hall/stairwell & landing, boot room, sitting room and dining room, with every area getting the preparation and attention it needed.
The old lime plaster was treated with the correct Zinsser Grade 1 system, and a huge amount of time went into stripping, sanding, filling, repairing, stain blocking and making good before the finishing coats went anywhere near the walls.
It's been a challenging one, but I've genuinely loved working on all the curved walls, window reveals and quirky details that give this cottage so much character. ❤️
A long way from home, a few unexpected problems along the way — including the van 😂🚐 — but seeing the whole cottage finished makes it completely worth it.
Devon… DONE! ✅

🩵🧡🫟 THE DEVON JOB IS DONE! 🎨🏡 🫟🧡🩵
What a job this one has been! 😅 Plenty to contend with along the way…
Old copper nails bleeding through, copper pipework to disguise, copper staining, damp and mould patches, peeling paint from previous paint jobs… and of course, putting right the previous decorator's mistakes! 🤦‍♂️😂
But after weeks of hard graft, plenty of prep and using the correct products for these old lime plaster walls, it's finally finished. 🙌
And what a transformation! ❤️ This beautiful old cottage has been an absolute pleasure to work on — curved walls, quirky window reveals and bags of character.
Keep an eye out later this week 👀 — I'll be uploading all the finished photos along with a full walkthrough video showing the whole job from start to finish.
Devon… DONE! ✅ Now I think I've earned a job a little closer to home! 🤣🚐🎨

🩵🧡🫟 ANOTHER BUSY WEEK IN DEVON! 🌊🎨 🫟🧡🩵
Another busy week down in Devon and, fingers crossed, next week should be my final week on this one! 🤞😂
For now, here's a little update on another part of the cottage I've started working on.
Sadly, this beautiful old cottage isn't actually Grade II listed. When the cottages in the area were being listed, this one was apparently so overgrown that it was missed! 😲 Personally, I'd certainly class it as worthy — it's absolutely full of character.
I'm genuinely loving working on this property, especially all the curved walls and curved window reveals. They're certainly not the quickest things to work on 😂, but they're exactly the sort of details that make an old cottage like this so special.
I'm holding plenty back for the big reveal… 👀
📸 All the photos will be uploaded once the entire job is complete, along with a full walkthrough video showing everything that's gone into bringing this beautiful cottage back to where it should be.
