🚿 Another shower transformation completed by HRS!

We’ve given this shower a complete refresh, creating a much cleaner, brighter and more modern space.

The deep blue feature tiles make a real statement against the existing white bathroom, finished with crisp contrasting grout and chrome detailing to tie everything together. 💙

As always, the work behind the tiles matters just as much as the finished result — careful preparation, waterproofing and attention to detail throughout to make sure it’s built to last.

🏫💚 Doing something a little different with our weekend…

This Sunday, we swapped our usual weekend plans for paintbrushes and rollers to give something back to our local community.

We’ve donated our time, labour and materials to completely redecorate the new Nurture Room at St James Primary School, Elstead (our local village primary school) — a school that means a lot to us personally, as one of our own children attends here.

A nurture room should be somewhere children can feel calm, comfortable and supported, so when we had the opportunity to help create that space, we were more than happy to get involved.

Everything has been completed completely free of charge, including supplying the paint, because sometimes it’s not about the invoice at the end of the job. It’s simply about being able to use what you do to make a difference where you live. ❤️

We’re really pleased to have played a small part in creating a welcoming space that will hopefully benefit children at the school for many years to come.

A weekend very well spent. 💚

Another shower refurbishment finished by Handyman & Refurb Solutions Ltd.

What started as the replacement of a badly leaking shower turned into a complete rebuild of the shower area, including repairs and strengthening to the subfloor before rebuilding everything properly from the ground up.

This customer chose our Premium specification, which included:

🔹 Full strip-out and disposal
🔹 Subfloor repairs and strengthening
🔹 Cement backer board and full waterproofing system
🔹 Villeroy & Boch premium shower tray
🔹 Full-height porcelain tiling
🔹 Bespoke recessed shower niche with hand-cut mitred edges
🔹 Epoxy grout throughout for increased durability and stain/water resistance
🔹 Premium sliding shower enclosure

A huge amount of the work on a shower like this is hidden once it's finished, but getting the preparation, waterproofing and structure right is every bit as important as the final appearance.

Really pleased with how this one came together — particularly how subtle the grout lines and mitred niche look in the finished shower. 👌

From plain and simple to bold, modern, and full of character — this room has been completely brought back to life. The deep walls, crisp woodwork, and fresh bright finish have totally changed the feel of the space, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result.
