A bit of a change for Cartref Lettings… and one that pushed me slightly out of my comfort zone. 👋

The reason is simple: Cartref Lettings isn’t a big corporate agency. It’s me.

Over the last two years, I’ve built this business on being approachable, accessible and genuinely caring about the properties and people I look after. Yet when I looked at my branding, I realised it wasn’t really showing that.

When landlords choose Cartref Lettings, they’re not passed from department to department. They deal directly with me from start to finish. When tenants need help, it’s me they speak to. When there’s a problem to solve, I’m the one sorting it.

Property is a people business, and I wanted my marketing to reflect the personal service that’s always been at the heart of what I do.

So, here I am - quite literally putting my face to the business. 😊

A fantastic couple of days at Propertymark One 2026 in London!

It was great to catch up with so many familiar faces, make new connections, and spend time with suppliers and industry professionals from across the sector. The networking opportunities were second to none, and of course, the lunch and merch didn’t disappoint either!

The speaker line-up was excellent, with particularly thought-provoking contributions from Angela Rayner and Baroness Brady, offering plenty of insight into the future of housing, business, and our industry.

As a bonus, I managed to drag my husband along for the trip, and we turned it into a couple of lovely nights away in London too – a perfect mix of business, learning, networking and a little bit of sightseeing.

Events like these are a great reminder of the importance of staying connected, sharing ideas, and continually learning to better serve our clients and communities.

Already looking forward to next year!

People think lettings is just handing over keys and collecting rent… but honestly a huge part of the job is spent driving from one property to another 🚗

Viewings, inspections, maintenance visits, inventories, check-ins, check-outs, meeting contractors, emergency call outs no two days are ever the same and neither is the mileage 😂

A lot goes on behind the scenes to keep rental properties running smoothly, and most of it happens on the road.

People often ask where the name “Cartref” came from… and it’s actually incredibly personal to me.

Cartref was the name of the very first home my husband and I bought together when I was just 19 years old. That house represented so much more than bricks and mortar - it was the beginning of building a life, creating security, and having a place that truly felt like ours.

The word Cartref is Welsh for “home” not just a house, but a place of comfort, belonging and safety. And honestly, that meaning sits at the heart of everything I do today.

Because property has never just been transactional to me. Whether it’s helping landlords protect their investments or helping tenants find somewhere they can truly settle, home means something.

So while the business has grown, the reason behind the name has always stayed the same 🤍
