We can't wait to see you tomorrow at the Party in the Park! at Granton Gasholder 1! It even looks like the sun will be shining 🌞

Event schedule:
11am - Event open and all activities running

11am - Premiere performance of "A Song for Granton Gasholder" by Pianodrome community - musicians, makers, volunteers, friends and community scratch choir

11.15am - Ribbon cutting ceremony with Council Leader Councillor Jane Meagher and a member of the Craigroyston Community Youth Football Club

If you would like to join the community scratch choir, please come along at 10.30am for a warm up and rehearsal.

There is a limited number of free ice cream from S.Luca Dairy Ice Cream so make sure you arrive on time!

Please note, there is no parking available at the park entrance, however you can do pay and display parking at the Morrisons car park via the RingGo app (0.2 miles away).

Just a reminder that we will be at Granton Library today (Tuesday 1 April) from 2.00pm-4.00pm to provide support to anyone interested in applying for the North Edinburgh Community Benefit Fund.

We have also added an additional drop in date on Thursday 10 April at Muirhouse Library from 2.00pm - 4.00pm if you are unable to attend today.

The Fund is a grants award scheme provided by developers and contractors delivering regeneration projects in North Edinburgh and administered by the Council.

Remember this! The structure has now been repainted and refurbished. The space inside has been transformed to create a new public park – Gasholder 1 - as part of our £1.3bn regeneration of the Granton Waterfront area.

This morning we launched the first North Edinburgh Community Benefits Fund. This is a flexible fund aimed at local third sector organisations working in North Edinburgh to help support their services.

There is a total of £10,000 available which has been provided by Cruden Group as part of their contract to deliver the Silverlea development, which will see 143 new homes for social and mid-market rent built on a site off Muirhouse Parkway.
