🚨 LANDLORD UPDATE – HHSRS CHANGES ARE COMING 🚨
From 23rd June 2026, the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) is changing.
Whilst the fundamental responsibilities of landlords remain the same, councils will be using a revised system to assess housing standards and identify potential hazards.
Key areas landlords should be reviewing now:
✔ Damp & mould
✔ Heating & insulation
✔ Electrical safety
✔ Fire safety
✔ Trip and fall hazards
✔ General property condition
The reality is simple: if your property is well maintained, compliant and properly managed, you should have little to worry about.
However, with increasing regulation and enforcement across the private rented sector, now is the time to ensure your property is fully compliant and inspection-ready.
At Chapter One Lettings, we help landlords navigate changing legislation, remain compliant and protect their investment.
