I've seen a few adverts on TV lately with Lidl or Aldi comparing prices (like for like big shop) has anyone actually done a comparison and are the "budget" supermarkets any cheaper.

Do people check the price per kilo when shopping? Or do you just get the cheapest pack??

Hey folks. I've set this page up as I am a husband of a wonderful wife and father to two fantastic kids. As we all know, life is a little tough at at the moment. We have come out of pandemic and straight into a "Cost of living" crisis. I'll be the first to admit that this Christmas has been tough for our family. I genuinely believe that amongst the Essex community we have the ideas and resources to get through the next few years by sharing some money saving ideas. And I don't just mean buying cheap baked beans..... I mean by sharing tips and ideas. If we can buy cheap, then lets, if we know of a great day out for the family with discount vouchers then share those voucher links. Or even if there is a great idea to keep your family entertained with games or great walks then please post and share them on here!
