🚂 A SMALL ROOM WITH A LONG MEMORY 🚂
For generations, Haslemere Signal Box stood watch over the station, guiding trains and quietly witnessing the comings and goings of everyday life.
Now, thanks to the dedication of local volunteers, businesses and community groups, this historic landmark is beginning a new chapter. What once served the railway is being carefully preserved as a heritage attraction, museum and community space, ensuring its stories can be shared with future generations.
Built in 1895 and a familiar feature of Haslemere Station for over 130 years, the Grade II-listed signal box is more than just a building. It’s a reminder of the people, history and heritage that have helped shape our town.
Projects like this play an important role in protecting the character of our local communities, keeping the past alive while creating something meaningful for the future.
A wonderful example of what can be achieved when a community comes together behind a shared vision.
