Haworth is world famous as the home of the Brontë sisters and the Thyme House is the perfect base from which to explore their legacy. Opposite the Thyme House is a small gated pathway which brings you out accross the field to the Brontë Parsonage, the Museum and the Church. From here you can explore Main Street with its collection of pubs, restaurants and delightful gift shops.
Alternatively, head away from the Thyme House towards the Brontë Falls and a walk along Brontë Way which leads to the the Brontë Bridge, and out onto the bleak moors where you can see the ruins of Top Withens, immortalised by Emily Brontë as "Wuthering Heights".
From Main Street down Bridgehouse Lane to Station Road you will find The Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway, made famous by the film The Railway Children. Railway enthusiasts will love the Marshalling Yard where a variety of historic engines and rolling stock can be seen.
Skipton is nearby with its delightful castle, and further afield is Bradford (2025 City of Culture) and the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, and an excellent theatre.
The Thyme House is a wonderful holiday house with fantastic restaurants and pubs within walking distance, making it perfect for a family or set of friends to build some everlasting memories together.
