6 weeks of hard work, and this transformation is now COMPLETE! 🔨🏡

We started with a dated 3-bedroom detached house and transformed it into a modern, practical 4-bedroom family home with 2 bathrooms and a utility room.

For the final week, we focused on all the finishing touches to get the property ready for its new tenant.

🔨 Week 6 – Final Stage:

✅ Finished painting and decorating downstairs 🎨
✅ Completed all remaining flooring
✅ Fitted carpets throughout the required areas
✅ Full internal builders clean 🧹
✅ Windows professionally cleaned 🪟✨
✅ Final checks and finishing touches completed
✅ Property now fully ready for a tenant 🔑🏡

Looking back at the starting point, the difference is incredible!

We’ve completely changed the layout, created an additional bedroom, added a second bathroom and utility room, installed a new kitchen, upgraded the electrics and plumbing, fitted new flooring, modernised the staircase, improved the garden and exterior, and completely redecorated the property.

🏡 Heanor Project – Week 5 Refurbishment Update 🔨

Week 5 is complete, and we’re now very close to the finish line! 🙌

This week has been all about bringing the new layout together, completing the flooring and joinery, and getting the property ready for the final decorating stage.

🔨 Week 5 Progress:

✅ New kitchen fully fitted 🍽️
✅ Utility room fitted 🧺
✅ Herringbone LVT flooring fitted throughout the kitchen, lounge and hallway
✅ LVT flooring fitted in both porches and the utility room
✅ Finished hanging all the internal doors 🚪
✅ Fitted skirting boards throughout
✅ Removed the old metal gates to improve access to the driveway 🚗
✅ Cleaned and refreshed the existing paving
✅ Garage painted, giving the exterior a much cleaner and fresher appearance 🎨
✅ Property is now ready for painting and decorating next week

The transformation inside is really starting to come together! The new kitchen and utility room have completely changed the downstairs space, while the herringbone LVT gives the kitchen, lounge and hallway a modern and high-end finish.

We’ve also made improvements externally, making the driveway easier to access, refreshing the paving and giving the garage a fresh coat of paint.

After five weeks of hard work, this former 3-bedroom property is now taking shape as a modern 4-bedroom family home.

Next week, it’s time for the painting and decorating, followed by the final finishing touches and snagging.

🏡 Heanor Project – Week 4 Refurbishment Update 🔨

Another fantastic week on site, and we’re getting very close to the final stages of this transformation!

Our conversion of this 3-bedroom detached house into a modern 4-bedroom family home is progressing exactly as planned, and this week has been packed with major milestones.

🔨 Week 4 Progress:

✅ Both bathrooms have now been fully completed.
✅ All upstairs bedrooms and the landing have been painted.
✅ The downstairs bedroom, porch, and bathroom have also been decorated.
✅ Plastering has been completed throughout the property.
✅ Kitchen installation is now underway.
✅ The full electrical installation has been completed.
✅ The old staircase handrail has been replaced with a modern metal handrail, giving the hallway a fresh contemporary look.
✅ Decorative stones have been laid in the garden, adding the finishing touches to the outdoor space.

It’s exciting to see the house changing from a construction site into a modern family home. Every completed stage brings us closer to the final reveal, and the vision we had at the start of the project is now becoming a reality.

There’s not long to go now! Over the next stage, we’ll be completing the kitchen, finishing the remaining decorating and flooring, carrying out the final second-fix work, and adding all the finishing touches before revealing the completed transformation.

Another busy week on site, and we’re getting closer to bringing this property back to life!

Our transformation of this 3-bedroom detached house into a modern 4-bedroom family home is making fantastic progress, with several key stages completed this week.

🔨 Week 3 Progress:

✅ Hung lining paper in the upstairs bedrooms, preparing the walls for a smooth, high-quality painted finish.
✅ Plastered both bathrooms, ready for tiling and the final fit-out.
✅ Boarded all the new stud walls throughout the property.
✅ Continued the full electrical rewire and installed a brand-new consumer unit (fuse box), bringing the property up to modern electrical standards.
✅ Fitted the upstairs bathroom, with the new space really starting to take shape.
✅ Started fitting the upstairs internal doors, adding another finishing touch to the first floor.

It’s great to see the house moving from the structural phase into the installation stage. Every week, the vision becomes more of a reality, and the transformation is becoming easier to imagine.

There’s still plenty to come, including decorating, flooring, kitchen installation, second-fix electrics and plumbing, and all the final details that will complete this stunning family home.

🏡 Heanor Project – Week 2 Refurbishment Update 🔨

Another productive week on site, and the transformation is really starting to take shape!

We’re converting this 3-bedroom detached house into a modern 4-bedroom family home, complete with 2 bathrooms, a utility room, and a completely redesigned layout.

Here’s what we’ve achieved during Week 2:

✅ Removed one internal wall upstairs and one downstairs.
✅ Installed new steel beams to support the structural alterations.
✅ Built a new stud wall downstairs to create the fourth bedroom.
✅ Built a new stud wall upstairs to make one of the smaller bedrooms much larger and more practical.
✅ Cut a new doorway for the downstairs bathroom, which is being created from part of the old kitchen.
✅ Started the first-fix plumbing for the new bathrooms and kitchen.
✅ Began the full electrical rewire of the property.
✅ Started clearing the garden ready for the next phase of the external works.
✅ Identified and resolved an external structural issue, ensuring the property has a solid foundation for the refurbishment ahead.

Every week brings us one step closer to turning this outdated house into a modern, high-quality family home. It’s great to see the new layout beginning to come together, and there’s still plenty more to come!

🏡 Heanor Project – Week 1 Refurbishment Update 🔨

Week 1 is complete, and we’ve made a great start on transforming this property!

This 3-bedroom detached house is being converted into a modern 4-bedroom home with 2 bathrooms and a utility room, and the first stage has been all about preparing the property for its transformation.

Here’s what we’ve completed this week:
✅ Removed wallpaper throughout the house.
✅ Removed all built-in wardrobes, cupboards, and fitted furniture.
✅ Lifted and removed all carpets.
✅ Started removing internal walls downstairs to create the new layout.
✅ Installed 40 metres of new boundary fencing, giving the property a smart, secure, and more private outdoor space.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s always exciting to see the project taking shape. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be carrying out structural alterations, first-fix plumbing and electrics, plastering, installing the new kitchen and bathrooms, decorating, and much more.
