This has been an ongoing job. The shed, I replaced the roof timbers and re-felted, new battens, barge boards and finial. All four sides were sanded, and loose boards refitted, then two coats of Cuprinol Seagrass. Looks smart, and should give a few more years service.
The Summerhouse, the rotting wooden finial was replaced with a much harder wearing resin version, the timber tiles were treated with Danish oil. All elevations were sanded and some of the trims and window beads were replaced. Two coats of Cuprinol Seagrass to smarten it up, which should give a few more years weather proofing. Three of the outer base timbers had rotted and were replaced, all the base outer timbers were treated with Black Bitumen paint to help protect from sitting in standing water.
This has been an very enjoyable job with a satisfying result.
