Take Care, Take 5

On 19 July, many of the restrictions which were in place during the Government's road map out of lockdown were lifted. This included social-distancing rules, and restrictions around events and travel.

The Government has asked everyone to take responsibility for their own risks, and those of others, so it's important we all understand what that means and how to keep ourselves and each other safe, beyond social distancing.

This new weekly bulletin is taking the place of our former COVID-19 updates to help you access all the support Hounslow Council, our partners and wider community have to offer as we come out of lockdown around 5 key areas:

Taking care of yourself and others through COVID-19 (including vaccine and testing updates)
Taking care of your mental health
Taking care of your physical health
Taking care of your employment skills
Taking care of your finances
Our new online hub will make it as easy as possible to find out how you can get vaccinated, get tested, and more as we come out of lockdown to keep yourself and your community happy and healthy.

Following the England football team's defeat at Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening, we, the Metropolitan Police, are aware of the vile and abhorrent abuse some of the players have received on social media. A post-event investigation has been launched which will actively pursue and investigate offenders and criminal offences.

Footballers, fans, spectators or indeed any member of society should not be suffering any kind of hate crime.

I wanted to write to you to echo the sentiment of Deputy Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor; this behaviour is totally unacceptable and not welcome in London. I would urge anyone who has been, or is being, subjected to any abuse either online or in person, to contact police and report it so that it can be investigated accordingly.
