Hey Lovely People! 🙂

Just thought we would share some photos of the new build that has just been completed!
Even though the Site has Weekly maintenance and upgrades, this is the largest build project since we opened.
It still needs decorating inside but it is 100% playable and adds an extra element of Gameplay & Tactics!
The Camera has also been moved, so there is now a birds eye view looking down on the bottom of the Long Stairs and the NEW Balcony!
Special thanks to the creative Team behind EVERYTHING at Blackstone CQB - without them, this Site would not be as awesome as it is!
The NEXT project is "AIRCON" in the Respawns! 😲🥶
We need to get this ready for when we get that Welcome warmer Weather! 🤔🌞

Blackstone CQB NEWS!

Greetings to all!
Wow! How time whips by! Blackstone CQB opened in November 2024 and here we are in 2026!
We have been working very hard behind the scenes to upgrade the layout, decoration, SFX and include extra themes (ZOMBIES!) for you all to enjoy!
The addition of our £20 Wednesday and Friday EVENING Games have proven very popular and we will continue to run those, along with other Themed Evening Games such as “Fright Night” and the soon to be announced “Cops & Robbers” Games!

Many of you are aware that the Site is “reset” every week in regards to maintenance, cleaning, sweeping and repairing. We are DEDICATED to ensuring we deliver a Fun, Friendly, Immersive, value for money experience!
Your support is greatly appreciated and really helps keep the Site running – thank you all very much.

So…let’s mention some great news!
Week commencing the 23rd of March we will be undertaking the biggest build to the Game area since we opened! We are building an “extension” above the chicane near the long stairs and post office. If you know the Site, imagine you are upstairs looking out from the MG Nest Window toward the Long Stairs: that is where we are building a whole new double room with multiple doors and windows. At the moment it is “dead space” – so with this addition it will certainly add more space for you to use!
NOTE: for this reason, there will be NO Wednesday Evening Game on the 25th of March – sorry.
We are planning to run Friday 27th of March Evening Game if all goes to plan!
With over a Year of feedback, we have adapted and changed things to improve the Gameplay and overall experience at Blackstone CQB and we promise to continue to do just that.
The Site layout is 98% as we want it, but always has room for improvement!
The Video Safety Brief will be updated sometime soon to reflect additions to the Site and streamline it a lot more and we plan to have different Marshals record the Briefing, so you never know who you are going to get! 😊

As many of you know, RIFT Airsoft is a huge advocate of “all things Airsoft” – our policy is to Welcome everyone to come and play, have fun, be nice and be a part of the great Airsoft Community!
Feedback from players and Marshals is paramount and we will always listen and see if we can make changes to balance and Gameplay. Over a long period of time, we have been gathering feedback regarding the use of Auto Shotguns, HPA setups, rate of fire and general trigger discipline!
The Marshal Team does a great Job with regards to “issues” that are reported, however it is very hard to be in the right place at the right time when an issue is raised.
One change we are making from the 1st of April on a “TRIAL” basis is to lower the HPA Limit, starting at 0.84J, and then up to 1 Joule. We will check results and go from there. To be clear - this is NOT an attack on HPA users - we just need a "tweak" at Blackstone CQB 😊
HPA Systems are AMAZING and deliver a consistent “on the limit” performance that is not always as easily matched by AEG or GBB Rifs (that’s why HPA is so popular now!)
As many of you know, Blackstone CQB is VERY, VERY close indeed (average engagement is point blank to less than 12 Meters!)
So, as mentioned, we will TRIAL different limits and LISTEN / OBSERVE & gather feedback, then lock in the result. (we will always listen and adapt to genuine feedback) 👍
Blackstone CQB is YOUR SITE – you play it and we want everyone to have a great time!
Soon, we are also looking to launch a NEW Website, along with a Digital Sign-In System when you arrive at Blackstone!!
It’s all in the early stages now but we are working hard in the background.

Summer is approaching (sooner than later, we hope!) and we are looking to get the Game Area Airconditioned, so, even when it is baking outside, you can run around in a cooler environment!
Fingers crossed we can get a good quote!

Our BIG EVENT “Shift Your Rifts 2026” in Abingdon on the 23rd & 24th of May will sadly mean we have to CLOSE Blackstone for our usual Games -BUT- we can be available for Private Booking, so this is a great time to rent Blackstone at the Weekend if you have 20+ players!

The Wonderful Creation Crew decided to create a bit more "depth" to the blank walls...
With the SFX running it actually looks really good!
The "plan" is to add window ledges, flowerpots, guttering, etc, to give it a more realistic feel.

3 NEW WALLS have also been added and a few more to come.
The New Walls are placed due to "feedback" with the idea of making Gameplay better in challenging areas!

Also - we are planning to add an EXTENSION (extra large room) upstairs above the Chicane! This will help Gameplay upstairs AND get you more LOST than you were before! 😝😎

We were proud to be able to Host a Training Day for them!

🚑 Scenario Trauma Training Day 🚑
Last week, 14 paramedics from across Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire took part in an immersive scenario trauma training day at Blackstone CQB in Huntingdon.
Using realistic scenes, sound effects and lighting, clinicians were challenged with high‑pressure scenarios focusing on trauma skills and the human factors that influence performance, communication and decision‑making.
Days like this highlight the dedication and professionalism of our clinicians as they strive to be the best for their patients, every day.

Hello to all Blackstone CQB'ers! 😎

This amazing Venue has been open since November 2024 and has gained very positive feedback! The Site is certainly "one of a kind" and is maintained, cleaned, swept and upgraded on a weekly basis, ensuring you have be best possible experience whenever you play!

To turn an EMPTY Warehouse into something special like Blackstone CQB is a project born from passion... The detail, Special Effects and commitment to delivering a quality Site with Value for Money has been a challenge to say the least, however we believe that we have achieved just that. We are told that there is nothing else like it and we are always adding new features and details.

As everyone knows, the UK is certainly in a bit of a "pickle" (to put it mildly!) regarding the cost of living, materials, running costs and other factors that have really put a squeeze on small businesses.
Just one factor is the Business Rates (stealth TAX) for Blackstone will see an BIG increase in 2026. A worrying time indeed!

So, unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, we have had to make the very TOUGH decision to increase the Game Fee for Blackstone CQB from £25 to £30, starting on Sunday 1st of Feb 2026.
Hire RIF & Ammo price stays the same, however there will be a £3 charge for Masks due to the fact they need replacing much quicker than our Woodland Game Masks!
Evening Games are still £20 and we are also looking to run every Wednesday and Friday Evenings from the end of Feb.

We really do think that the Site is still value for Money and we have held back for as long as we can, but now we have to make changes to ensure Blackstone CQB is there for you when you would like to play!

We cannot thank you enough for your support - without you, we are nothing!
I hope you understand and will continue to come and play at Blackstone CQB.

So... where did that Year go? 😝😂 😲
Happy 1st Anniversary at BLACKSTONE CQB! 🥳

Massive THANK YOU to EVERYONE who comes to play and have some fun at Blackstone CQB!
As many of you know, this Site is very unique and has changed a LOT over the past Year! Feedback is everything and we have listened! We have made tweaks and improvements wherever we can and added LOTS of new features to enhance your experience.
From the original builders, to the regular cleaners and maintenance staff that keep the Site clean, upgraded and repaired on a WEEKELY basis - we salute you! 🥰 You have built a great Site!
Big shout to "Alex" - the SFX guy who has created some amazing sound and lighting. The Zombie Games are absolutely brilliant with the new SFX he has created.
Blackstone CQB wouldn't be the same without White Sphere Tactical - on Site Shop! They look after everyone and ensure there is enough great kit on Site for everyone!
The "dedicated" Marshal Team are also LEGENDS! 06:30 start - and they don't get home until 21:30 on the Weekends! They work very hard and enjoy running the Games with you all.

The Site is undergoing transformation for Christmas! Our very own "TANK" (Ricky from WST) will be playing the role as "Tankaclause" (Santa!) for our Christmas Themed Games!
Want to help him or shoot him? 🤭🤔😂🤣 maybe the Grinch will appear too!? We love a bit of Christmas FUN!

It's a tough Site to "photo shoot" as if the lights are too low, the images do not come out too well - BUT - the Site looks better when it is darker! Oh, well, Enjoy! 😎
