What you get when you get in a cowboy decorator VS a professional decorator 👷‍♀️

Years and years of paint layered on paint, no prep or mist coats and not only is the finish absolutely not anything I'd personally put my name to, the paint is not adhering to the stairs strings and is so loose that the entire thing needs to be stripped back to bare wood to allow for me to properly prep and undercoat the wood so that the paint adheres properly...ultimately giving the customer more years of durability without flaking and a clean, professional finish for this high end Dentist surgery.

So today I've second filled the first room, made a start filling the landing and stairs and raked out all the cracks, old caulk, loose paint...coming across painted foam thats giving way and dodgy plastering, leaving big holes for me to repair.

Back in tomorrow to really make some noise on good Friday 😎 watch this space...and remember, PREP IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF DECORATING 🙌🏼👀🦷

One of my best worst nightmare jobs! 😂 and yes I was covered head to toe with soggy wallpaper paste thanks to the ENTIRE room being wallpapered, including the ceiling 😆🙈

But this customer had a vision...and that vision consisted of a drench in 'Dulux perfectly taupe', and so drench I did 😌🙌🏼

After stripping all wallpaper the walls had to be plastered due to being in such poor condition underneath. I then mist coated the dry plaster, prepped and undercoated the woodwork and away we went with the perfectly taupe! Using matching satinwood for the woodwork.

The doors were being replaced which is why you'll see from the final video that they infact hadn't been drenched!

And this was one of those jobs where you leave with a new friend 😌🫶

Cabinetry is one of my favourite things to paint 🖌
This one, however, was done in a barn in the middle of a heat wave 😅 took some prep, time and attention to detail but the results were worth it 👌

Throwback to this beautiful house in Newmarket a couple of years ago. Ceilings, walls and woodwork done here (amongst other rooms) all while working around the builders! 😅 Not always an easy task for a perfectionist decorator!
Working alongside Neptune Kitchens and what a stunning overall result I must say. One of my favourites and hands down one of my favourite paints to work with due to the exceptional quality, coverage and silky smooth application 😍

Hi, I’m Tilly 👋

I’m a professional painter & decorator covering Suffolk and surrounding areas. I’ve been doing this for years, but I’ve finally decided to properly put myself out there and share my work 😅

I take on both residential and commercial projects, with a real love for detailed, high-quality finishes. I specialise in wallpapering (feature walls are my favourite 🙌), renovations, and I have a huge soft spot for period properties!

As I’m also an artist, I offer murals and creative finishes too — and I’m always excited to try new trends like textured walls and statement designs.

I take a lot of pride in being tidy, reliable and delivering work to a high standard — I’m definitely a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to clean lines and detail!
