✨ Before & After: Utility Room Glow-Up! ✨
When our lovely customer asked if we could pop the tumble dryer on top of the washing machine to make a bit more space in their busy entranceway, we thought… let’s dream a little bigger! So we asked the important question: “What’s your overall goal?”
Their answer?
👉 “We just want the space to feel more inviting: it's so cramped you can't take your coat off without banging into something. But there’s nowhere else the washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher can go.”
Challenge accepted. 💪
With a bit of creative thinking (and a lot of measuring!), we repurposed a full-height shelved kitchen cupboard by removing the shelves to create a brand-new appliance space for the washing-machine and tumble dryer. Then we rotated the dishwasher and tucked it neatly half in the kitchen, half in the entrance. The coffee machine and microwave got their own station above the dishwasher, and we even managed to squeeze in some wine storage! To make it look seamless, we boxed in the back of the dishwasher with gorgeous floor-to-ceiling cupboards - which also cleverly hide the electricity meter. 🙌
The result?
A space that’s brighter, smarter, more welcoming, and so much more functional. Not to mention a cool coffee-station that'd make Starbucks proud.
