August has turned into such a busy month at Overscaig, with guests coming and going and so many lovely people getting to experience this little corner of the Highlands.

Today has been one of those beautiful bright Highland days too — sunshine over the walled garden, blue skies breaking through and the house ready for its next arrivals.

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes between stays… fresh linen, cleaning, restocking and getting everything just right before the next guests walk through the door.

But seeing families and groups arrive excited for their holiday makes it all worthwhile.
