For decades, Daedalus was a thriving part of Lee West, a place where people once proudly lived and worked.

After standing empty behind hoarding for almost 30 years, it's exciting to see plans to bring new life back to these buildings once again. By creating new homes and opportunities to work, this regeneration celebrates and rejuvenates the site's history while reflecting the heritage, pride, and community spirit that have always defined the surrounding area.

Our first delivery partnership with Blanchard Wells Ltd marks an exciting step forward, bringing together a shared focus on creating jobs, supporting skills and training through their work with CETC, and investing in the future of the area.

This collaboration will deliver a state-of-the-art manufacturing and office facility, helping to create opportunity and restore pride within the community.

A brilliant (and breezy!) afternoon with the fantastic members of Lee-on-the-Solent Bowls Club 🌊

We were proud to unveil the club’s new uniforms for the season, sponsored by Daedalus Waterfront, a wonderful moment that reflects a much bigger commitment to community, heritage, and connection.

A highlight was meeting members with deep ties to HMS Daedalus and hearing their stories, a powerful reminder of why preserving this legacy matters.

This project is focused on creating more opportunities for local people, protecting the history that makes this place so special, supporting the Hovercraft Museum to grow, and bringing a real sense of pride back to the area.

It’s about more than new homes and buildings, it’s about creating a place where people can work, relax, connect, and feel part of something. With new green spaces, community areas, and access to the seafront designed for everyone, HMS Daedalus is being reimagined as somewhere people can truly enjoy.
