It is safeguarding week.
Safeguarding means protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, and exploitation.
What is a vulnerable adult?
A person aged 18 or over who may need care and support, and may be unable to protect themselves from harm, abuse, or exploitation.
Police work with partners to keep people safe—but we all have a role to play. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
Safeguarding Tip:
✔️ Trust your instincts — if something doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it
Report your concerns:
📞 Call 101 (non-emergency)
🚨 Call 999 in an emergency
Speak up. You could help protect someone.
