Is it really worth it!! ?……🤔🤔
For those thinking of getting into property!!
I have a few thoughts that hopefully will help you…
1️⃣ It’s not passive!! It can be for a few weeks but ultimately even after the refurb and you get an agent to manage you still have to be involved!! It’s your Property!!
2️⃣ This was my first, refurb refinance, went well for 3 years then 💥💥 everything you worked for whipped out!! One bad Tennant
3️⃣ Do not let this put you back, you need more than one property as they’ll always be a bad egg!! Law of averages!!
4️⃣ Think about if you want the hassle, you can invest in a more hands off investment and still do well.
5️⃣ Are you doing it for cash flow or longterm growth, cash flow will bring you more problematic situations eating into any profit, longterm growth will bring you less cash flow but less problems.
6️⃣ Be committed, they’ll be bumps in the road but it will benefit you in the longterm, I’m talking 10-20 years not 5 years!! It’s a marathon not a sprint!!
6️⃣ Hang in there, time is a healer and will enable you to decide what’s best to do.
7️⃣ Bad Tennant, Serve notice as soon as you can it will help you in the long run.
8️⃣ There’s nought so quer as folk!!! Can’t believe what some people think is acceptable!!
