Refurbishment and reconfiguration of an apartment we recently purchased.
The wall between the kitchen and lounge made spending time in the kitchen feel claustrophobic. Opening it up has made it light and airy. The property is 7-8 mins walk to University of Leicester and is ideal for students.

Just finished our latest refurbishment. The kitchen is definitely our favourite one yet. Very on trend colour, minimalistic handles and simple Splashbacks tiling really help it stand out.

This 3 bed terrace family home was put on the market at £1,250 pcm and was snapped up in hours.

Most landlords always try and do their very best to ensure their tenants have as comfortable stay as possible, and most of the time it is not appreciated, so when our wonderful tenants let us know that they were very happy during whilst staying at the property, it really does make our day !

Attached is a video tour of our second student house which we refurbished this Summer.

This was a large Victorian Villa. Keeping in mind it was built in the early 1900’s, we decided to restore it having that industrial style in mind. The lights are in the steampunk style, the kitchen is a textile effect and the shelf brackets are of wrought iron. As with some of our previous Victorian terraces, we used paint from Farrow and Ball; in fact some of the colours were actually used in the 19th Century !

Of the two new bathrooms, one is a timber effect porcelain tile and the other is a variation on Carrera marble; this monochrome tile was especially imported from Spain and the black veins in the tile are textured providing a stunning effect: it really has to be seen to be believed !

We are over the moon with this property, and it has, in fact, turned out to be one of our favourite houses.

The first of our 2 student house renovation projects that we have carried out over the summer.

This house is on the doorstep of DeMontfort University. Even though it is for 4 students, we have made two bathrooms so that the students live in super comfort !

We have given them a spacious and contemporary house all with double beds and fitted wardrobes and desks, an open plan lounge / kitchen, super fast broadband, Smart TV and created a superb outdoor chilling area.

7 kitchens in 6 months !!

So far this year, we have fitted 7 kitchens in our refurbishment projects.

Sometimes we duplicate the colour of the doors, but we make every kitchen look different to each other; this can be by using different handles, splashbacks, flooring or appliances. The possibilities are endless ! The more we fit, the more we like to experiment.

3 More kitchens left to go in the next 3 months, and we are truly trying to make these stand out even more.

One of the questions we regularly get asked is how come we finish our projects on time, and more importantly, on budget. The simple answer is: PLANNING.

A few months before the project starts, we start analysing every single aspect of the refurb; not just the obvious questions from what type of kitchen or the bathroom tiles, but even down to the small details such as the handles, door stops, and lights. We sit down with our project team 2 - 3 times beforehand to ensure that we haven't missed anything.

I find that creating a Mood Board really helps with the planning process. Here is one that I have created for our refurbishment project which is due to start on 1st July. In fact we have got two projects back to back and timing really is key, as we have only got 7 weeks before the students move in.

Sometimes good old black and white tiles can create a real statement.

We went for a feature floor to grab your attention the moment you walk in. Marble effect tiles are really trendy at the moment, and rather than going for the standard rectangular ones, we decided to use hexagon tiles to add some interest.
