2 Hardy kayakers settled in for the night yesterday after braving the rapids through Llangollen. Weather was dreadful when they arrived, but they happily pitched at the Crows Nest. The only pitch open at the minute, thanks to all the rain, so they had the whole place to themselves. It's the only pitch that will accommodate 2wd vehicles.
Look at what greeted them when they awoke. Thanks for the snaps guys.

Winter is coming but we're open all year. Views are fantastic in the frost under star or moon light. When the snow comes you need some substantial kit to get to us and to be a capable off-roader, but it's worth it if you're up to the job. Fair weather snow flakes better staying home. Just till it warms up again then we'd love to see you.😎 wild Camping Club Grid Camp

Just thought I would share a few photos of recent guests enjoying both the Crow's Nest and my favorite 4x4 pitch below the orchard. We still have many pitches vacant for most of this weekend and the forecasts I've seen are great. Go on squeeze another one in before winter takes a hold.

Today we celebrate the coming together of our new campervan and car camping pitch. Just in time for the end of summer. Ooops! Affectionately referred to as "The Crows Nest" this pitch is at the top of the site with expansive views and open to the elements. It has a fantastic view of the night sky and sunsets alike as well as right up the "Vale of Meditation (Glyn Myfyr) Thanks to Andrew for his help creating the space and Sophie for her test run and helpful feedback. Following your recommendations we've opened up the fire pit area so that you can get your camping chairs in close and improved the stone fire defenses to the back. The space can be hired for one to two vehicles and you have a choice of reserving it for yourself or being open to sharing. Our second set of T4s or 5s are coming this weekend, just as the weather picks up. We only charge £5 per vehicle plus £5 per person or dog. Although there is a £5 supplement for single vehicle not open to sharing. Anyone looking to cram in a bit more before the winter, please give me a shout. There is every chance you will get the whole place to yourself, but if not, any 4x4 campers will be out of site and sound,

Lots of changes at Buzzard's Reach in response to feedback from our guests. New secluded, sheltered pitch below the Orchard with a cracking view up the Alwen valley, rapidly becoming a favourite with 4x4 and ground tent campers. Pitch above the seasonal waterfall now doubled in size to accommodate slightly larger groups. New 2wd/Campervan/motorhome and car camp pitch at the top of the site. Best view in the house, we call this the Crows Nest. Access down to the river front opened up more and the formerly bottom track along the woodland rerouted to make it more easily passable. Last but not least we have adjusted our pricing to best reflect the site usage and inline with our sustainability goals. We have removed pitch fees all together and we now charge £5 per vehicle, plus £5 per person or dog. (max 2 dogs) When you book a pitch it is for you and your group only, with the exception of the crows nest which is open to a second vehicle not from your group unless you pay an additional £5 to reserve it for youselves. We have held back on marketing while we made these changes and now have loads of availability for the rest of August and September, including the bank holiday
