This was a head scratcher, re-creating the moulding that goes around the base of an exterior door architrave . There still another 200 mm that gets attached to the bottom of this but I thought the easiest thing would be to make the detail section separately . Ideally I wouldn’t make this out of softwood but keeping costs down was important, and with the correct primer and top coat there’s no reason why it won’t last many years to come.

We've been a bit quiet on social media as of late, I guess it doesn't always feel very 'social' ? So we've stepped back a little and have been concentrating on the value of the good old face to face business ❤️

We will begin to slowly show you all our work again in good time but would like to take this opportunity to remind you of what we can offer 🤩

As most of our followers may know, I am James, the owner and founder of Ramplin & Boe.
Qualified & skilled Cabinetmaker with a passion for creating bespoke furniture in my workshop here in Colchester. I work a range of high quality timber and materials to fit the style & budget for our clients.

We tend to create alot of fitted furniture, but we love to make the odd free standing peice too!
Plant stands, side tables, bathroom vanity units etc 🪴🛏️🪑

We have been based in Kent for a while and it's been great to extend out customer base further South East📍

However, our main base is here in Colchester, with a fully equipped workshop and design studio allowing us to really get creative and work efficiently 👌

We have opened up our diary from October onwards and will be happy to take on any type of bespoke cabinetry that you require.

Triple-panel design, razor-sharp lines, and smoother than a jazz solo on a Sunday.
