Hebrews 9:16–17 says a will only takes effect after the person who made it has died. Which means something very simple:

Making a will does not bring death closer. It simply makes sure that when the time eventually comes, your family is not left in confusion. Planning is not inviting death. Planning is protecting the people you love.

Serious question: What are some of the myths or crazy statements you have heard when people are asked to make a will?

Nobody says anything while parents are alive. But quietly in their heads everyone already knows what belongs to them.
“My mother said the house is mine.”
“Dad told me the car is mine.”
“That stand was meant for me.”
Then one day… the conversation becomes real. And suddenly the family WhatsApp group becomes a courtroom. Not because people are bad. Because nothing was clear.
This page exists for one reason: To help families protect relationships before things get complicated. Please follow this page for conversations everyone avoids.
Serious question: Apart from a funeral policy…What plan does your family actually have?

W’s first husband (H1) passed away in the 80s.
Second husband (H2) has 3 children from his first marriage.
W has 2 children from her first marriage.
Together? No children.
If something happens tomorrow…
Who is in charge?
Who owns what?
Who decides what?
This is why we talk about these things. Not because we expect the worst. But because clarity protects relationships.

Serious question!
If your sunset was tomorrow (not wishing anything!), would your family know what to do? Or you would hope family members will just second guess it for you? Zimbabwean families are among the strongest. But even strong families can benefit from clarity.

This page isn’t about fear. It is about giving space for families to cherish their loved ones without the baggage of chaos and confusion. We’ll talk all the uncomfortable but necessary things.
Because hope is not a strategy. And “we’ll see” is not a plan.

If this is a conversation you’ve been avoiding… you’re in the right place. Follow for honest and real conversations about protecting what matters — before sunset.

Now be honest in the comments apart from a funeral policy (well done if you have one!) what else do you have in place?
