NIGHTMARE GUESTS.

With a desperate bid to keep our SA's occupied during the lock down we dropped our rates and had a few lovely key workers stay with us. Unfortunately we also had the displeasure of hosting a few appalling guests.
The first guests this gorgeous basement flat hosted were a couple of "working girls" under cover as key workers. The second set of guests this apartment hosted were 21 year old's who decided to throw a party... Once discovered and trying to give every excuse known to man they fled the apartment, leaving the front street level door wide open.
Which guests were the best of the worst... The first guests to be honest, the apartment needed a long deep clean afterwards but at least they didn't cause a noise disturbance nor break anything.
It may look like all is good and booming on the grid but behind the scenes it gets a little crazy.

TAKING CONTROL OF OUR TIME.

It’s so easy to wake up and let the day run us and before we know it, its 8pm – DAY DONE.

We always give ourselves so much to do in any one day yet the 24 hours we have is never going to change.
Time to get ruthless with our time management, stop exaggerating the TO DO and take control of our day.

Mute the group chats, set allocated email time, allocated project time, allocated social media time (God help us with that one) and lets run our day!

MAKE TODAY ONE THE WEEKEND WILL BE PROUD OF 🙌🏾

THAT BIG TICKET ITEM▫️

When you have that one big thing in the day that you just must do and it’s going to take some time or you just really don’t want to do it.

Do you make yourself get it done and out the way first or do you out it to the bottom of your to do list?

We tend to leave that dreaded thing to the bottom of the list 🙈... but we’re making a conscious effort to change that around.

Get up and get it done, then the rest of your to do list is a breeze and you won’t have that big thing playing on your mind throughout the day. @ Northampton, Northamptonshire

HOW?

Learn. Work hard. Persevere. Learn some more. Sacrifice. Repeat🏃🏾‍♀️Repeat🏃🏾‍♀️Succeed.

We hit walls in our journey all the time and we have to remind ourselves that it’s a steady process. Long nights, early mornings, up and down the M1. It’s tough but it’s all be worth it.

How do we do it amidst work, kids and life? We just love it ☺️ and we’ll take this over a Netflix and chill any day.

On that note it’s time for Sunday nights Netflix and chill ✌🏾Any recommendations? Need a good action packed series... Think Money Heist or Prison Break vibes ☺️

HELLO▫️

We're Nest Easy sister duo Dawn and Arlette. This an official "Hi. Hiya. Whatsup. Bonjour ✌🏾" as we haven't shown our faces on our page much (but will be more often 😊).

▫️We live in London and currently run SAs in Northampton. Going in it was a smooth journey, we built a relationship with a great estate agent and got all our deals through them. Then the brick wall that is C-19 hit 🤦🏾‍♀️

▫️We're 6 months into this journey and we've learnt loads and connected with lots of amazing people of the gram - Thank you all for sharing your stories and advice. We're zooming and listening to so many valuable podcasts (damn there is loads!).

▫️Best of all has been seeing the amount of WOMEN (sorry guys) just killing it in this field. It’s really motivating and refreshing to experience women supporting one another.

▫️We'll keep sharing and hope to continue to get to know more of you. Next for us is more SA's (not giving up on them 😉) and taking on our first HMO.

THE COMPOUND EFFECT▫️

For the past year we’ve had a list of books we’ve been meaning to read and even now during Covid we’re just not getting round to them.

We find it hard to bury our heads into a book, there’s always a “distraction”. So we joined Audible and we’re loving it!

Just enjoyed Darren Harry’s The Compound Effect whilst getting on with bits around the house (4 hours) and feeling supercharged 🙌🏾

We all need a kick up the 🥾 sometimes and we’ll definitely be going back to chapters in this one any time we need a boost...

Little decisions, but everyday, CONSISTENTLY.

▫️FEEL GOOD SATURDAY

Feeling less gloom and much more boom as we build connections with contractors and secure long term bookings for our SAs.

Also seeing bookings coming in for late summer/autumn, this gave us another boost and helps us see the light at the end of tunnel.

It’s been a journey with lots of learnings but we’re very ready to say bye Covid, go hard and end 2020 on a good note.

P.S. Soo in love with this colour combo 👀

Currently driving around and speaking with all the local newsagents about who they see pop in and where they may be working from so we can target them.

All contractors pop into newsagents for their daily dose of sugar right? 😄

This week we’re focusing on building local relationships in Northampton and securing leads.
