Interesting local stats from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show the average house price in Harrow at the end of 2024 was £533,000 up 2.3% on 2023. The average price paid by first-time buyers was £443,000, 3% higher than December 2023, while the average price of a home bought with a mortgage was £541,000, 2.4% higher than a year before.
Meanwhile, private rents rose to an average of £1,695 in January 2025, an annual increase of 9.8% from £1,543 in January 2024. This was lower than the rise in London (11% over the year. The average private rent was highest for detached properties (£1,530) and lowest for flats and maisonettes (£1,302) for Great Britain in January 2025.
