It all started with a 2-bed open-plan living kitchen - just like this one - where buyers couldn’t visualise how to use the space.
No one could see how to make the layout flow (especially when it’s long and narrow).

We staged it - and it sold within 3 days

Yes, whilst a refurb is incredibly important and it needs to be good quality, we’re seeing a lot of ‘overcooked’ refurbs right now… 🍳

Eg. Splashing on a marble worktop that’s almost worth as much as the property itself, high tech gadgets & gizmos, fancy radiators that you can’t even see

Yes, they’re nice to haves and an expectation in super luxe properties, but in your everyday type home, there is ONE thing you could leave room in the budget for that will make 10X the impact than a high tech toilet 🚽

I still remember when my mum used to bring home Good Housekeeping every month — I’d flick through the glossy pages, obsessed with the interiors and dream homes inside. 🏡✨

So to be featured in it myself this month feels like one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget 💫

In the article, I shared one of my favourite (and often overlooked) home-staging secrets:
👉 The hallway sets the tone.

It’s the first thing buyers see, and those first few seconds matter.
A chic runner rug, a console table with a vase and mirror above, and a subtle diffuser instantly make people feel like they’re walking into something special.

And if your front door opens straight into your living room?

Hooks, a slim bench, and a basket can create the illusion of a mini mudroom — practical and pretty.
