We’re putting the final pieces together for our upcoming webinar and roundtable on the changing UK short-let market.

Working across both the UK and Italy has given us the opportunity to see two markets at very different stages of their regulatory journey.

Many of the changes now being discussed in the UK feel familiar to us - because in Italy, similar developments have already been part of the market for years.

We’re putting the final touches on our upcoming webinar and roundtable on the changing UK short-let market.

Working across both the UK and Italy has given us a first-hand view of two markets at very different stages of their regulatory journey.

Some of the changes now being discussed in the UK feel familiar - because in Italy, similar developments have already been part of the market for years.

For this reason, we’ll be joined by selected Italian industry guests who will share their multi-year experience of operating through those changes.

An internationally recognised and highly experienced interpreter will also facilitate the conversation, helping create a clear and open exchange between our Italian guests and the UK audience.

The aim is simple: to share real experience, explore the parallels between the two markets and open a useful conversation around what may come next.

In Italy, hosts and operators have already been navigating a much more structured regulatory environment for years, including mandatory property registration and the introduction of the CIN – Codice Identificativo Nazionale.

England is now moving towards greater regulation too, with measures such as a proposed mandatory national registration scheme for short-term lets and increasing local oversight.

The final framework in England is not yet fully defined, and this is exactly why we thought it was the right time to open the conversation.

We are already seeing parallels with changes that Italy has experienced before, and some of those developments may offer useful context for understanding where the UK market could be heading.

On 7 September, we’ll be sharing our direct experience of operating in Italy and discussing what we are currently seeing emerge in the UK.
