🚵‍♂️ Networking on two wheels is something our team are acquainted with. E-mountain biking across the Surrey Hills is definitely a new experience...!

The Vail Williams team of Charlie and James spent a morning exploring Peaslake co-hosting an event with Mayer Brown Ltd. They brought together a group of like-minded daredevils for some expert tuition from Sixtyseven70 and Tony Pocock followed by a pub lunch.

🍂 The first week of Autumn provided some brilliant riding conditions and with the weather holding up, it was a great day all round. There may also have been a few jumps and tricks through the trees but some of the team decided to leave it to the professionals!

Thank you to everyone who attended. If future events like this float your boat, DM us today to register your interest.

🏆 As always, last night's IAS Awards didn't disappoint!

Some of our industrial agents across the South East were joined by clients to enjoy a day of networking, a chance to celebrate the best in the industry, a classic game of 'Heads or Tails' and the occasional beverage to toast the winners.

It was a fantastic way to catch up with familiar faces and make introductions with a few new ones too. Thank you for such a memorable event - here's to the next 50 years of the awards! 🥂

🪄 'Once upon a time, there was an incredible awards evening hosted in a place just like Hogwarts and what a magical night it was.'

Yesterday's Oxprop Awards hosted by UK Property Forums at Keble College, Oxford was the best one yet and we were lucky enough to be sponsors for the 'Best Commercial Building of the Year' category.

🏆 Turns out, it was an impossible category to judge so we had to have not one, but TWO winners: Massive congratulations to Oxford North and Trinity by Breakthrough, Oxford - the calibre of commercial property in Oxford and beyond is astounding.

Thank you to Richard Dawtrey who handed out the awards and to our guests who joined us on our table for the evening.

🤠 Buckle up, cowboy, this isn't our first rodeo!

Our Surrey team dusted off their boots and double denim to be transported to Tennessee for an evening of 'good food, good friends and good times' at the latest FunFund event.

🍕 With bellies full of pizza, the Woking Team saddled up and moseyed over to ‘Nashville’ ready to unplug and be entertained by an evening of live country and western music, topped off with a tribute to the legendary career of the one and only Dolly Parton!

And there's nothing quite like a rendition of Shania Twain's 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' to bond a group of colleagues! Sounds like we've found a new anthem for the Woking office...

⛑️ But topping the night off was Maria Hoadley swapping her cowboy hat for a health and safety one - getting stuck in a lift is one thing, travelling up and down repeatedly with little to no hope of escape is another!

We'll be lasso-ing our way to the next one!

🍳 A corporate breakfast event but make it posh - nailed it.

Yesterday, the Vail Williams team hosted a client breakfast in the private dining room at The Ivy, Birmingham, bringing together clients and professional referrers from across the Midlands for some tasty food and even better conversation.

🖇️ Great to catch up with familiar faces and make some new connections, thank you to everyone who joined us.

⏰ The OxProp Awards are just 24 hours away - Will we see you there?!

Tomorrow evening, our team will be heading to Keble College, Oxford for the prestigious OxProp Awards 2026, celebrating the very best of the Oxfordshire property and real estate scene.

🏢 We are proud to be sponsoring Best Commercial Building of the Year, an award that recognises the industrial, science, education, and office developments that have truly delivered: both matching the client’s brief and playing their part in the Local Plan to generate new income for Oxfordshire.

As a team with deep roots in commercial property across the region, this category sits right at the heart of what we do: championing the buildings and projects helping Oxfordshire’s economy grow and thrive.

Best of luck to all the finalists in our category:
✅ Belsyre Court, Oxford
✅ Inventa, Oxford
✅ Oxford North, Oxford
✅ The Ranges, Bicester Motion
✅ Trinity by Breakthrough, Oxford

A brilliant shortlist and a great reflection of just how much is happening across the region. We are so excited to celebrate the people, places, and projects driving Oxfordshire forward and are sure this will be a night to remember – see you there! 🥂

Laptops switched off. Work phones on silent. Cue exploring the forest on our doorstep for a worthy cause.

Our South Coast team took full advantage of the beautiful weather and took part in a sponsored walk in the New Forest for regional charity, Sophie's Legacy. Three doggos, over 6.5km later and £347 was raised by our team - not bad for 90 minutes of chatting and getting some steps in.

A few were a little parched at the end of the walk so rounding the trip off at the pub was the obvious solution. Tying in a FunFund event with charity activities was a great way stop talking about work and get to know others in the region better.

We can spend more time with people at work than we do at home. Why not make work more fun by getting to know your colleagues in a different setting? That's what makes Vail Williams unique - creating a culture that makes you want to stay.

🤝 It was great to have the Thames Valley regional charity Nature Nurture join our town hall last week to discuss the work that they provide and how our fundraising helps the community.

Nature Nurture's aim is to get more families exploring the outdoors, creating spaces that are safe and sustainable for future generations and offering free events to local neighbourhoods to get involved.

🌳 There's a wide range of schemes they currently work on including Holy Brook Nook that our team helps out at once a month. Tasks have already included cutting back overgrown nettles, collecting litter and rebuilding natural fences - keep you eyes peeled for our next outing later this month and beyond!

Thank you to Elspeth, Natalie, Lynne and Brenda for popping in. We can't wait to join the next events coming up at Apex Reading.
