We need your help!!!
We have a real life Nativity Story at Duckling Barn. Our adopted donkeys and shetland ponies must be moved more than 70ms away from their yard and stables here due to a court order or we will have to rehome them and be unlikely to get them back.
Harry, Katie, Enzo & Morris have to be moved. The area they have lived in has to be sanitised of any remnant of them by 4pm on the 24th December 2025.

We know so many of you came to stay here over the Summer to meet them, and gain that sense of calm that they freely offer while living in their pre existing facilities but now we have to build the same facilities for them with their aged bones and desert hooves here or rehome them.
If you can support with muscles, experience or just with a small donation we will be so grateful.
We have a ridiculous deadline that we must achieve. Christmas Eve.
Harry will supply free cuddles, we can do tea, mulled wine, sausage rolls. We need Help.

And that's it. Our first tent season at Duckling Barn is done, ending dramatically with thunder, lightening and the heaviest of rain but it didn't dampen our enthusiasm or that of our lovely guests!!!

We've had a wonderful few months meeting the most amazing people, sharing food, stories, fire and the calm of offgrid glamping at Duckling Barn, being able to relax, reconnect and breath with the donkeys.

We've had brilliant reviews, lots of great ideas on how we can improve for next year and we've learnt so so much -mainly how to juggle work and changing beds in the swiftest of times (yes, I am getting a stop watch). We've welcomed friends for some very memorable evenings and made lovely new friends that we can't wait to welcome back.

I think Alfie sums it up in the picture below - Be a rainbow. Fall down, bounce back and Always be a rainbow!!!

Loved hosting these two at Duckking Barn! They’d riden from Merthyr to Brecon, Hay on Wye, Gospell Pass to us to cook over fire and relax. Such a delight to meet them!
And we’re fully booked this weekend so if you do fancy a stay with us, breakfasting with the donkeys, you need to be quick, the tents are closing on the 9th September 🤩

We're loving sharing Duckling Barn with our guests and it was a pleasure to meet Heather and her partner for a weekend stay in Foxglove. They cooked over fire, foraged in the woods, sharing their mushroom find (they knew what they were doing, we made a pie and Mark's tasted first and all's good!), and enjoyed the space and big skies.

They gave us a 5 Star Review on Airbnb - "Angharad and Mark were really welcoming and friendly, felt really well looked after. It's a beautiful spot!"

We have some nights available this week if you need to recharge, reconnect and regroup in our wild glamping tents - the tents are glorious in the rain and we have our indoor kitchen with a microwave, hob, kettle, fridge, freezer and free donkey & pony cuddles with lots of things to see and do around the Wye Valley National Landscape.

And we love a collaboration, huge thanks to two brilliant neighbours, Wye Valley Flowers for their beautiful organically grown flowers and to David Broadbent Photography for his photos and videos ###

A tripple whammy of excitement - Dragonfly is available on the 16th August and we have Shya’s Long Table Pop Up Supper on the 16th August too - which means you can eat incredible food, stay over at Duckling Barn and breakfast with the donkeys!!!
