喺NHS返工，有關 IPC (感染預防與控制) 好似好嚴格，所有接觸到clinical嘅同事都要bare below elbow，連結婚戒指都唔可以有任何stone、頸鏈亦唔俾戴 (自己以前喺香港會將隻戒指掛上頸鍊)。同事戴smart watch都會extend條帶戴喺手臂上。但奇就奇在名牌呢，可以用lanyard😅 於是乎大家就有咗好似去Disneyland 玩儲／交換襟章嘅文化😂
而且買得到嘅慈善襟章，隨時會變成“限量版”！去年BBC Children in Need 出咗一系列嘅Pudsey Bear，第一次喺Greggs見到仲猶豫買唔買定買邊款。第二次再去已經賣晒🥹 所以今次見到依隻薑餅人🫚🍪👤就即時入手，連咩機構出都唔理了😂😂😂
翻查之下，原來被依個機構用嚟命名嘅Marie Curie係一位好出色嘅研究者 (就是居里夫人啊～)，第一位女性Noble Prize得主，第一位兩度得獎嘅人，更係唯一一位喺兩個唔同範疇得獎嘅人🏆😱👍🏻太厲害了吧？好可惜佢亦都係因為終身嘅研究長期曝露於幅射之下而死於罕見嘅貧血病。
這幾年來為咗定居嘅瑣事都沒有好好停下來，5年似乎又係時候為自己剩落嚟嘅career路上再來個定位。。。

p.s. 啱啱見到online Pudsey shop有badge賣！題外話，點解Starbucks UK 冇周邊商品賣😭見到台灣出咗馬年達摩好得意！連搶嘅機會都冇。。。

It seems sometimes the IPC rules are quite strict working in NHS comparing to HK: Bare below the elbows, only wedding band without stone is allowed and you can't wear a necklace. While in HK, I used to put my ring on the necklace. If colleagues wearing smartwatches, they normally extend their straps to fit on their arms. But one strange thing is, Trust will provide you a lanyard for your badge 😅 So a culture of collecting/exchanging pins like we're going to Disneyland is developed 😂 Of course the number of pins you can wear has a limit. The charity pins often being found at kiosks or next to a cafe till. They can easily become "limited editions" due to the high demand! Last year, I saw a series of Pudsey Bears at Greggs released by the BBC Children in Need. I had a choice paralysis and by the time I made up my mind, it's been sold out 🥹 So when I saw this gingerbread man 🫚🍪👤, I bought it at once regardless of which charity it came from 😂😂😂
After some Googling, I found out that the organization named after Marie Curie (I didn't at first realize the name, as for me she was known by the translated Cantonese name), who was an outstanding researcher- the first woman to win the Noble Prize, the first person to win it twice, and the only person to win it in two different fields 🏆😱👍🏻 Absolutlely brilliant! Isn't it? It's a pity that she ended up her life because of a rare anaemic disease which probably caused by the long-term radiation exposure from her lifelong research.
In my past few years, I won't say we were struggled to settle down in a new country, but all the trivialities really took up all the time I had, not one second to break and clear my mind. A sign from today, it seems it's the year to redefine my remaining career path...

P.S. Just saw that the online Pudsey shop is still having stocks of the pins! BTW why doesn't Starbucks UK sell any nice seasonal accessories? 😭 Noticed that Starbucks Taiwan just released Duruma doll container for the Year of the Horse which is super cute! Me didn't even get a chance to have a run on one...

黑糖已經4歲半，除咗身形長大了不少，感覺亦越來越懂事，今日終於可以唔洗on lead行公園👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

好耐冇食過朱扒包☺️難得今日秘撈放半晝
推介大家依間咖啡屋，
開業已好一段時間，食品質素保持之餘仲覺得進步咗
環境chill又pet friendly 🐾 泊車亦相當方便
午市食客有一半係local，
見到隔離枱local食西多食到lam曬手指，
雖則我唔係老闆亦唔算得熟客，但都有份莫名嘅感動

£17有找，今時今日以港人食肆嚟講算好划算
開心今日有機會試埋卷蛋
點知行出門口唔夠一條街又發軟蹄成盒飛咗落地

// 一連兩日的英國「曼城和你宵」圓滿結束，估計兩日有多達8萬人流逼爆在市中心舉行的港人年宵市集。今年年宵規模除了較去年擴大近兩倍，更相信是首次在英國豎起香港傳統節日的大紅花牌，盡顯香港特色。主辦單位之一的香港文化社表示，對今年年宵表現滿意，認為成功展現香港人的力量，期望為在英港人提供發揮空間，亦為英國社會增添色彩。

整個年宵市集最為觸目是一個聳立在Market Street的香港大紅花牌，以正體字寫上「恭賀新禧」、「蛇年吉祥」等賀年祝福字句，並配有英文方便本地人理解，吸引不少遊客及本地人駐足拍照，英國廣播公司（BBC）亦有派人前來採訪。大紅花牌製作由香港文化社統籌，多名義工參與。有份設計大紅花牌的藝術家AK向《追新聞》表示，整個花牌高3.6米、闊4米，為了呈現原汁原味的香港特色，特意採用香港傳統的竹棚材料及技術製作。由於英國建築界無採用搭棚技術，義工團隊事前要特別從海外進口30枝4米長竹到英國製作這個大紅花牌，前後籌備連製作花了近一個月。//
