Last week saw the team head back to Sileby to start the Second Fix on an extension as well as carry out other works within the existing build.

The works involved:

☑ New heating system and radiators throughout.

☑ First & Second Fix of a new ensuite bathroom.

☑ First & Second Fix of a new Garage WC.

☑ First & Second Fix of a new Entrance WC.

‼ Another new project has started ‼

PLS have been appointed to construct new classrooms, a break out space and an office for Language Tuition Nottingham who are in the process of moving to a new premises.

The works involve:

🔨Construction of new classrooms
🔨Construction of a new break out area
🔨Construction of an office space
🔨Boarding & Plastering
🔨Installation of fire doors
🔨Installation of skirting and architrave
🔨Full decoration throughout
🔨Installation of a modular reception desk

Thanks to Lee Freeman for guiding me through the world of partition walls and having to carry 50 plasterboards as well as all the other materials up two flights of stairs 👊

PLS have recently started a project for a landlord with a huge portfolio of properties consisting of HMO's and private rentals. Following negotiations, PLS now directly look after this particular landlords stock of houses and have also been appointed to carry out a full refurbishment of a 4 bedroom house located on Derby Rd, a very popular student area.

The works consists of:

Full rip out and safe isolation of services ☑️
Full re-wire ☑️
Re-board and plastering where applicable ☑️
New Bathroom ☑️
New Kitchen ☑️
Full decoration through out ☑️

Last week PLS carried out a project in West Bridgford that really showcases the variety of work we carry out.

The project consisted of:

Painting the kitchen & utility ✅
Painting the living room ✅
Painting the master bedroom ✅
Installing x2 2-Port valves ✅
Installing a new bar mixer shower ✅
Installing a new kitchen sink & tap ✅

All of the work was carried out within 4 days
in-line with the customers strict timeframe. We ensured the correct level of labour was available to meet the customers requirements without delay.

Here are some photos of the work we have undertaken over the past week. First is the installation a new sink for a staff break out area at a martial arts academy in central Nottingham, which will see us return to carry out a full and thorough boiler service following an initial period of fault finding. Secondly, is the installation of two new radiators following the decision made by the customer to turn the master bedroom into two smaller bedrooms to accommodate their growing family. Steady day here at PLS yesterday, Just how we like our Fridays! We patched up a ceiling in the meadows following a leak from the roof. We removed the old laths, boarded and plastered the ceiling ready to sand, fill and paint the entire bathroom next week.

Yesterday was a day spent jobbing around several properties for landlords within Nottinghamshire. At the first property we changed a kitchen sink & tap, alongside installing a new washing machine. Then we moved on, where we installed a new toilet and replaced a length of skirting board. Then finally we headed to Mansfield and installed a new bathroom extract fan complete with rigid ducting ensuring minimal friction and maximum extraction rates from the bathroom to remove odours and steam!

Here is a new 20mm water main we installed right before Christmas to serve a dog grooming facility. The total length was around 20m, we installed pre-insulated MDPE barrier pipe. Also here is Sam (well part of him), he helps us with all our groundwork and landscaping projects, whilst Lee installed the water main and internal plumbing works. We made sure we left the property in a clean and tidy manner, relaying the turf and slabs allowing the customer to open for business as soon as possible!
Here at PLS we believe in putting the correctly skilled people in place in line with the project requirements.
