Started the first fix on the electrics in the upstairs bedrooms. The laser level is a gamechanger for making sure everything lines up. As the house is a refurb can set the height of the sockets at pretty much any height, I have gone for 450mm from floor level.

NOT SEEN A BEND THAT IMPRESSIVE SINCE URI GELLER CAME TO TEA.
Made a start on the first fix plumbing to the radiators in 3 of the bedrooms upstairs. This gave me the opportunity to have a go at my first attempt at a 90 degree bend using a pipe bender. I have used a Magnusson 15mm & 22mm pipe bender for the job from B&Q, which is probably not the professionals choice. However despite it being quite heavy and awkward to use free hand with 3 metre long pipe it did the bend with no creasing. Im going to look at a more permanent bench set up using a workmate to grip the pipe bender going forward.

Thats pretty much all the ceilings overboard upstairs. Need to cut out the loft hatches propery. Then its a bit above the boiler to do but need to remove and store the boiler first. Will call on Neil Keigher - Plumbing & Heating Ltd to help with that, leave the gas to the experts. Also have a tricky bit above the stairs to do where its quite high, We need to give that some thought.

managed to get quite a bit done this weekend. took on board advice from those more experienced and have started to stagger the joints. we're still undecided on whether to batton and superfoil the external walls or dot and dab with PIR. what are your thoughts experiences on insulating internal walls?????

It's been a few weeks since our last update due to supplier issues and a short holiday;) we have started plasterboarding the ceilings. we had to cut down the 8'x4' boards so we could get them upstairs, the next problem we had as complete amateurs was dealing with the curved ceilings. with a bit of trial and error we have got a system in place and so our pace as picked up;)
