This week we went and checked out a beautiful local dog walk. Stathern Woods has a lovely long trail, through a slender woodland, which is surrounded by stunning Vale-of-Belvoir scenery. Along the trail are break out points offering the perfect opportunity for den building!! The kids (and the sausage had a fabulous time.

Finally i'm getting around to writing up our trip to Stamford, Lincolnshire!

DISTANCE FROM WINTERS LANE: 34 minutes/30 miles

Stamford is a pretty market town, brimming with independent shops selling all kinds of gifts and antiques. Beautiful architecture and lots of alleyways to explore. We had lunch at The Cosy Club, which was delicious, but we were spoiled for choice as there seemed to be a pub, cafe or restaurant every 50 yards with an excellent menu for every budget. We spent around half a day here. It might have been longer if one of the markets had been on.

Close by are Burghley House and Harlaxton Manor.

I've been a bit quiet week on the Winters Lane page, but on Thursday I'm off to Stamford - a beautiful local town, for some market research and a bit of last minute Christmas shopping.
